Robertson has been at Liverpool since 2017. He has been injured for most of the 2023/24 Premier League season.

The Daily Mail in England is reporting that Liverpool left back Andy Robertson could be on his way out of the club after this season. The bombshell report claims that German giants Bayern Munich have identified Robertson as one of their main transfer targets for next offseason.
Robertson joined Liverpool in 2017. He has made over 280 appearances for the Reds in that time. It is believed that Bayern want to sign Robertson to replace Alphonso Davies, who is reportedly set to join Real Madrid after the season.
Robertson linked to Bayern Munich
By Bayern Munich standards, this season has been a disaster. FC Hollywood are eight points behind Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga and currently down 1-0 to Lazio on aggregate in the Champions League. Their manager, Thomas Tuchel, has already announced he will leave the club at the end of the season, and it’s looking like Alphonso Davies will be a Real Madrid player next season.
With all this in mind, it seems the club’s higher ups are also looking ahead to next year. Besides signing a new manager, replacing Davies is reportedly top of the club’s to-do list.
According to the reports from England, Bayern Munich higher ups have begun “collating reports on left-backs across the globe,” in order to replace Davies. The name who’s ended up at the top of their list is Andy Robertson.
Robertson will turn 30-years-old this month and has just two years left on Liverpool contract, meaning he could be a bargain buy for the club.
However, there are doubts at Bayern about Robertson’s suitability at the club. He has missed most of this season with a shoulder injury. When he has played, he’s looked far from the world class level he was at when Liverpool won the Champions League in 2019 and the Premier League in 2020.
Other Liverpool transfer rumours
Andy Robertson is not the only player linked to a move away from Anfield.
Mohamed Salah nearly left the club before this season. He was a target for multiple Saudi Pro League sides and could very well join one this summer. He will still have time left on his contract after the season, so Liverpool could end up netting a huge transfer fee if Salah does go to Saudi Arabia.
Salah to Saudi Arabia rumours are just that; rumours. One player who we know will leave is Thiago Alcântara. The Spanish midfielder has played just one match for the Reds this season. His current injury could rule him out for the rest of the year, and his contract expires after this season, meaning we could have already seen the last of Thiago at Liverpool.
Whatever happens after the season, and whoever stays and goes, Liverpool next year will likely look a totally different side without Jurgen Klopp, who has already announced he will leave the club after this season.
