After losing to Sporting CP in the Champions League on Tuesday, Manchester City have lost three straight matches across all competitions. The betting sites still have them as favourites for this match, but they are starting to waver a bit and have given Brighton a bit of a chance here.

We disagree pretty strongly with the EPL betting sites right now. Man City won 4-0 at the Amex last season and this Brighton side play a lot different defensively than the Tottenhams, Bournemouths, etc. who have caused City problems recently.

We think this will be a win for the Sky Blues, so we’re taking Man City to WIN @$1.72.

Liverpool and Aston Villa played to a thrilling 3-3 draw at the end of last season at Villa Park. Because of this, a lot of people are backing there to be a lot of goals in this one. Our EPL predictions feel the same.

Villa have conceded in three straight matches and three of their last five matches in the EPL have had over 3.5 goals. Five of the last nine Liverpool matches, meanwhile, have had more than 2.5 goals.

Neither team is solid defensively right now and we expect goals, so we’re going with OVER 3.5 Goals @$2.12.

This is a matchup of fourth and fifth in the league. These two are level on points, with Chelsea having a slightly better goal differential. Even with their records so similar, we’re really not sure if they are that close.

Despite their recent results, Arsenal have looked really good and probably deserved to win their last two losses and their 2-2 draw with Liverpool. Chelsea, on the other hand, have definitely been better than last season, but still show too many flashes of inconsistency for us to back them against a truly top side yet.
