Liverpool slipped up midweek against Newcastle, while Everton won 4-0 versus Wolves. If you actually watched those games though, it’s pretty clear how this weekend’s match will go. Arne Slot’s side should create plenty of chances against Everton’s chaotic defence. If Liverpool get chances, they will score plenty of goals.

Aston Villa shook off their poor form with a 3-1 win over Brentford, while Southampton fell deeper into the mud following a 1-5 defeat to Chelsea in Matchweek 14. What’s worse for the Saints, is that starting center back Jack Stephens was sent off in their loss.

Southampton were already very limited in defence, with fullback Kyle Walker-Peters and reserve player Nathan Wood deputising at center back. Without Stephens, it’s hard to see the Saints stopping Aston Villa from running up the score on Saturday.

Whether it’s the constant “Spursy” jokes or the lack of ambition from ownership,  Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham side have a hard time shaking off their past. That’s why we can’t trust them to win against Chelsea this weekend.

The Blues have won four of their last five fixtures at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium since 2021. They also have a very deep squad and should be relatively-fresh for this game.

Additionally, Chelsea have been really good against high lines this season. Spurs’ will definitely play a high line and their defence is down to its bare bones, so Chelsea should do well here.
