Wolves vs. Tottenham
Molineux Stadium, 10:30 PM, Saturday, November 11
Bad calls against the big teams dominate headlines, but we shouldn’t overlook Wolves. They are secretly one of the most unlucky teams in the Premier League right now. They’ve gotten two red cards in their last four matches and have given away two very harsh penalties in their last two fixtures. Despite all of this Gary O’Neil’s Wolves are playing very well. Unfortunately for them, Tottenham are playing much better.
Spurs lost late on to Chelsea after going down to nine men. They remarkably continued to play a high line and outplay Chelsea for much of that match. However, they just ran out of gas late. Injuries to James Maddison and Micky van de Ven picked up against Chelsea could hurt Spurs later on in the season, but not against a Pedro Neto-less Wolves. Tottenham should win this one.
Predicted Lineups
Wolves: Sa; Semedo, Kilman, Dawson, Gomes; Neto, Lemina, Traore, Ait-Nouri; Hwang, Cunha
Tottenham: Vicario; Porro, Dier, Royal, Phillips; Sarr, Bissouma; Kulusevski, Richarlison, Johnson; Son
Manchester United vs. Luton Town
Old Trafford, 1:00 AM, Sunday, November 12
On paper, Manchester United appeared to get things back on track last week with a win at Fulham, but if you watched that game, you would know that United are still struggling, and were all set to draw 0-0 until an injury time winner from Bruno Fernandes saved the day. Their biggest problem is that they can’t score goals, but injuries to the back line and midfield aren’t helping things either. Rumours are already swirling that Erik ten Hag may soon be sacked (though none seem too well-founded). Simply put, things are not going well in the red half of Manchester.
On the flip side, Luton Town are still buzzing after taking a point at home against Liverpool. If they were playing at home in this match, we might even give the Hatters a chance to get a result against United. However, they are not playing at home, so we can’t see any other result in this match besides a Manchester United victory.
Our favourite bet on this game, though? The under. Man United can’t score, and Luton will likely play all-out defence in the hopes of earning a draw. It should be a hardscrabble game, without many goals.
Predicted Lineups
Man Utd: Onana; Wan-Bissaka, Maguire, Evans, Dalot; McTominay, Eriksen; Pellistri, Fernandes, Garnacho; Hojlund
Luton Town: Kaminski; Mengi, Lockyer, Osho; Kabore, Nakamba, Barkley, Doughty; Townsend, Morris, Ogbene
Crystal Palace vs. Everton
Selhurst Park, 1:00 AM, Sunday, November 12
Whisper it quietly, but Everton may be back. Back to their heights as one of the best teams in English football? No, definitely not, but they may be back to being the mid-table team we’ve seen them be over the past decade.
The Toffees drew 1-1 with Brighton last week. Sean Dyche’s system has finally started to set in among Toffees’ players. Additionally, Everton are actually one of the better teams in the league when you look at the advanced statistics, like expected goals. With a tough defence, it seems like Everton can cause problems for any side.
Everything Everton has started to do well recently are also things that Crystal Palace do well, however. The difference between Palace and Everton is talent. The Eagles have a more talented squad than Everton. However, some of Palace's most dangerous players are out injured. This one’s tough to call; and the best pick might well be a draw.
Bookmaker | Tip | Odds |
Crystal Palace vs. Everton - DRAW | $3.15
Draw No Bet - Crystal Palace | $1.70
Crystal Palace vs. Everton - DRAW | $3.20 |
Predicted Lineups
Crystal Palace: Johnstone; Ward, Andersen, Guehi, Mitchell; Doucoure, Lerma; Ajew, Eze, Schlupp; Edouard
Everton: Pickford; Young, Tarkowski, Branthwaite, Mykolenko; Harrison, Garner, Gueye, McNeil, Doucoure; Calvert-Lewin
Arsenal vs. Burnley
Emirates Stadium, 1:00 AM, Sunday, November 12
All the news around Arsenal following their 1-0 defeat to Newcastle last week was about their manager, Mikel Arteta. The Spaniard went on a lengthy rant decrying the state of EPL referees and calls that went against his side. Arteta avoided any bans for comments, somewhat surprisingly, so he will be on the sidelines for Arsenal against Burnley.
Vincent Kompany’s Burnley will likely need the refs on their side if they are going to get anything from this match. The Clarets are joint-bottom of the table and have looked woefully out of their depth in the Premier League. Last week’s 0-2 loss to Palace actually was a good performance, but Burnley played right into the Eagles’ counter-attacking plan and suffered greatly for it.
Arsenal should set things right in this match after their loss last week. We are expecting a convincing victory for the Gunners.
Predicted Lineups
Arsenal: Raya; White, Saliba, Gabriel, Zinchenko; Rice, Jorginho, Viera; Saka, Nketiah, Trossard
Burnley: Trafford; Vitinho, O’Shea, Dakhil, Taylor; Berge, Cullen, Brownhill; Koleosho, Amdouni, Roberts
Bournemouth vs. Newcastle
Vitality Stadium, 3:30 AM, Sunday, November 12
Bournemouth followed up their 2-1 win over Burnley in Matchweek 10 with 1-2 loss to Liverpool and a 6-1 embarrassment against Manchester City. There is a very strong chance they will fall victim to another bad result against Newcastle this weekend.
The Magpies showed a lot of heart and passion against Arsenal. Sure, they were lucky to win, but that’s what happens when you play like Eddie Howe has Newcastle playing. Newcastle should do well against the Cherries.
The only way we see Bournemouth getting anything from this match is if Newcastle finally run out of gas. The Tyneside club is currently struggling with a minor injury crisis — they may have no fit striker with Calum Wilson and Alexander Isak both out — and played midweek in a 2-0 loss to Dortmund. We still think Newcastle will win, but it might be a high-scoring match.
Predicted Lineups
Bournemouth: Radu; Aarons, Senesi, Zabarnyi, Kelley, Merkez; Brooks, Christie, Billing, Tavernier; Solanke
Newcastle: Pope; Trippier, Lascelles, Schar, Livramento; Longstaff, Guimarães, Joelinton; Almiron, Wilson, Gordon
Aston Villa vs. Fulham
Villa Park, 12:00 AM, Monday, November 13
Aston Villa lost 2-0 to Nottingham Forest last week. This was no doubt a disappointing result, but we should not let a brief wobble distract us from just how good a season Villa are having this year. Unai Emery’s side are 5th in the table and absolutely dominant at home.
Fulham, meanwhile, are doing their best to stay above the relegation fodder below them. Marco Silva’s men are clearly struggling without Aleksandar Mitrović, who left to join Saudi Pro League club Al Hilal in the summer window. With that being said, the Cottagers know how to play disruptive football. We saw as much in their 1-1 draw against Brighton on the road a few weeks ago.
We see Villa keeping their home winning streak going against Fulham, but the Cottagers won’t make it easy for them.
Predicted Lineups
Aston Villa: Martinez; Cash, Konsa, Torres, Digne; McGinn, Kamara, Luiz, Zaniolo; Diaby, Watkins
Fulham: Leno; Castagne, Bassey, Ream, Robinson; Iwobi, Palhihna; De Cordova-Reid, Pereira, Willian; Vinicius
Liverpool vs. Brentford
Anfield, 12:00 AM, Monday, November 13
Liverpool could only manage to get one point from their encounter with Luton Town last weekend. Poor finishing from Darwin Nunez and Mohamed Salah are ultimately what doomed the Reds in that match. We wouldn’t expect to see such poor finishing two weeks in a row from these players, but we wouldn’t count it out, especially against a tricky Brentford side.
Thomas Frank’s Brentford side have looked very formidable in recent weeks. The Bees have beaten Burnley, Chelsea, and West Ham on the trot. Before that they narrowly lost out to Manchester United. They are very capable of getting a result at Liverpool if they are able to spring a few good counter attacks.
It’s far too early to say that this is a must-win match for Liverpool, but it kind of is. They must get a good result here and show that last week’s poor result was just an anomaly if they want to stay in the title race.
Predicted Lineups
Liverpool: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Konate, van Dijk, Tsimikas; Gravenberch, Mac Allister, Szoboszlai; Salah, Nunez, Jota
Brentford: Flekken; Mee, Pinnock, Collins; Ajer, Norgaard, Jensen, Onyeka, Janelt; Mbuemo, Wissa
Brighton vs. Sheffield United
Amex Stadium, 12:00 AM, Monday, November 13
Everyone wondered into this season how Brighton would be able to cope with playing midweek football every other week. It turns out, the answer is “not well.” The Seagulls are stretched thin due to injuries, fatigue, and lack of squad depth. They showed as much last week against Everton where they could only manage to get a one-all draw.
One of the few EPL teams in worse shape than Brighton right now is Sheffield United. The Blades have two centre backs out with long term injuries and minor knocks all up and down their roster. When you combine these injuries with the talent gap between Brighton and Sheffield United, this weekend’s match could be an ugly one.
We are backing the Seagulls to win. We also think this will be Brighton’s first shutout of the season, so we think Both Teams To Score - No is a great bet.
Bookmaker | Tip | Odds |
Both Teams To Score - NO | $1.91
Both Teams To Score - NO | $1.95
Anytime Goal Scorer - Pedro | $1.98 |
Predicted Lineups
Brighton: Verbruggen; Veltman; Webster, Dunk, Milner, Gilmour, Dahoud, Gross; Adingra, Ferguson, Mitoma
Sheff Utd: Foderingham; Baldock, Trusty, Robinson; Bogle, Souza, Norwood, Thomas, McAtee; Hamer, Archer
West Ham vs. Nottm Forest
London Stadium, 12:00 AM, Monday, November 13
After starting the season on fire, West Ham have won just one of their last six matches across all competitions. On the bright side, their new signing Mohammed Kudus is starting to excel within David Moyes’ system. The Ghanaian international has scored in his last two matches and is now starting regularly.
Nottingham Forest are continuing their form from last season of being a tough team to beat home while also being inconsistent on the road. If you told us the Reds beat West Ham 1-0 this weekend, we would not be surprised. Similarly, we wouldn’t be stunned if the Hammers beat Forest comfortably.
Because of Forest’s inconsistency, we are going to give a slight edge to West Ham. The betting sites have West Ham as big favourites, you can find good value in Draw No Bet or Double Chance bets if you want to back Forest.
Bookmaker | Tip | Odds |
West Ham To WIN | $1.88 | |
Double Chance - DRAW or Nottm Forest WIN | $1.95
West Ham To WIN | $1.86 |
Predicted Lineups
West Ham: Areola; Coufal, Zouma, Aguerd, Emerson; Kudus, Ward-Prowse, Soucek, Fornals; Bowen, Antonio
Nottm Forest: Vlachodimos; Aina, Niakhate, Murillo, Toffolo; Sangare, Mangala, Dominguez; Gibbs-White, Awoniyi, Elanga
Chelsea vs. Manchester City
Stamford Bridge, 2:30 AM, Monday, November 13
Man City reclaimed their spot at the top of the Premier League table following their 6-1 victory over Bournemouth and Spurs’ brave 4-1 loss to Chelsea. Frankly, with how well City are playing right now, it is hard to imagine them giving up the top spot again this season.
Chelsea, on the other hand, are lucky to be the top-half right now. It sounds harsh to say, but you probably never see a team struggle as much to score against 9-men as Chelsea did last week against Spurs. The soccer betting sites don’t seem to feel the same way. You can find great odds right now for Man City to win, which is what we are picking in this match.
Predicted Lineups
Chelsea: Sanchez; Gusto, Disasi, Silva, Cucurella; Caicedo, Fernandez; Palmer, Gallagher, Sterling, Jackson
Man City: Ederson; Walker, Akanji, Dias, Gvardiol; Rodri, Kovacic; Silva, Alvarez, Doku; Haaland
