Wolves vs. Burnley
Molineux Stadium, 5:30 AM, Wednesday, December 6
Burnley put up the biggest victory ever by a bottom of the table team last weekend when they beat Sheffield United 5-0. Their manager Vincent Kompany spoke after the result saying that he thinks it could be the start of a string of good results for his Clarets side. We disagree.
Burnley’s only two wins this season have come against Sheffield United and Luton Town, two of the worst teams in the league. They have been embarrassed against Everton and Bournemouth, two of the other worst teams in the league. We do not see things getting better for Burnley any time soon.
Wolves, meanwhile, have put together a very solid season, especially against sides who play open football, like Burnley will do. Gary O'Neil’s team should have no problem against Kompany’s Clarets.
Predicted Lineups
Wolves: Sa; Dawson, Kilman, T. Gomes; Semedo, Lemina, J. Gomes, Bueno; Bellegarde, Cunha, Hwang
Burnley: Trafford; Vitinho, Ekdal, O’Shea, Taylor; Berge, Brownhill; Gudmundsson, Amdouni, Koleosho; Rodriguez
Luton Town vs. Arsenal
Kenilworth Road, 6:15 AM, Wednesday, December 6
According to the betting sites, Luton Town are the biggest underdogs of the weekend. Will they be able to defy the odds and get a win against Arsenal? Definitely not.
Mikel Arteta’s Gunners team are top of the Premier League table for a reason. They have lost just once this season. We don’t think they are going to get their second loss of the season to Luton.
The Hatters definitely will have a raucous Kenilworth Road behind them and there’s a chance Arsenal are fatigued after playing at the weekend. However, the Gunners showed that they are more than capable of handling midweek fixture congestion last week when they battered Lens 6-0 in the Champions League.
Arsenal will win this match by a lot. Your best bet in this one is betting on Arsenal with a handicap or the over on total goals.
Predicted Lineups
Luton Town: Kaminski; Kabore, Osho, Bell; Brown, Barkley, Mpanzu, Giles; Townsend, Morris, Ogbene
Arsenal: Raya; White, Saliba, Gabriel, Zinchenko; Odegaard, Rice, Havertz; Saka, Nketiah, Trossard
Brighton vs. Brentford
Brighton vs. Brentford
Brighton have won just one of their last eight Premier League fixtures. They couldn’t even get a point against a 10-man Chelsea side on Sunday in London. The Seagulls and their fans are expecting Roberto De Zerbi to make things right at home and get their season back on track. Brentford will make it very difficult for that to happen.
The Seagulls have the upper hand on Brentford when it comes to their recent head-to-head record. The Bees have won just once in four meetings with Brighton since coming into the Premier League in 2021. However, the 2023-24 Brighton side is the leakiest verion in recent memory.
Brentford will probably score in this match. If they score early, they have a solid enough defence to lock the game down and come away with all three points. We are picking a draw in this one, but don’t be surprised if the Bees get a win here.
Bookmaker | Tip | Odds |
Double Chance - Brentford WIN or DRAW | $1.88
Both Teams To Score - YES | $1.55
OVER 2.5 Goals | $1.61 |
Predicted Lineups
Brighton: Steele; Veltman, Van Hecke, Igor, Hinshelwood; Gross, Gilmour; Adingra, Lallana, Mitoma; Pedro
Brentford: Flekken; Zanka, Pinnock, Mee; Roerslev, Jensen, Janelt, Onyeka; Ghoddos
Sheffield United vs. Liverpool
Bramall Lane, 5:30 AM, Thursday, December 7
We knew Sheffield United were bad but we weren’t sure just how bad. The Blades showed us just how bad things are last weekend in a calamitous 5-0 loss to bottom-of-the-table Burnley. Liverpool wasn’t great last week either. They needed a last minute goal from Trent Alexander-Arnold to put them past Fulham in a 4-3 thriller at Anfield.
The Blades will be without Oli McBurnie following two silly yellow cards for throwing his elbows around against Burnley. Liverpool will be missing their starting goalkeeper Alisson along with Diogo Jota, Joel Matip, and a handful of other players.
There really is not much to say about this match. Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool would need to put in a truly dreadful performance to not get all three points from this fixture. Liverpool will win this one.
Predicted Lineups
Sheff Utd: Foderingham; Ahmedodzic, Robinson, Trusty; Bogle, Fleck, Norwood, Thomas; McAtee, Hamer; Archer
Liverpool: Kelleher; Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Gomez; Szoboszlai, Mac Allister, Endo; Salah, Gakpo, Diaz
Fulham vs. Nottingham Forest
Craven Cottage, 5:30 AM, Thursday, December 7
The heat is on Nottingham Forest manager Steve Cooper after losing yet another match. The Reds lost last week to Everton in a match that many fans are calling one of the worst matches they’ve seen under Cooper. Forest have lost three straight, and are now in 15th place, just one spot above Fulham.
Fulham played Liverpool to a 4-3 loss on Sunday in one of the most exciting matches of a Premier League weekend that was full of exciting fixtures. The question for Marco Silva is whether his side will be able to do it against a more compact team than Liverpool. Typically, we would say no, but Forest are really bad away from home and may have started to drop their heads as a result of their poor form.
We like Fulham to win this match.
Predicted Lineups
Fulham: Leno; Tete, Bassey, Ream, Robinson; Palhinha, Cairney; Wilson, Pereira, Reid; Jimenez
Nottm Forest: Vlachodimos; Aurier, Felipe, Murillo, Toffolo; Sangare, Mangala, Dominguez; Hudson-Odoi, Gibbs-White, Elanga
Crystal Palace vs. Bournemouth
Selhurst Park, 5:30 AM, Thursday, December 7
Crystal Palace came away from a trip to West Ham last weekend with a point, thanks to an Odsonne Édouard goal. Bournemouth got a draw of their own against Aston Villa. Out of those two results, the Cherries’ draw definitely was the more impressive. Bournemouth have started to put things together under manager Andoni Iraola.
Palace, meanwhile, are sticking to the same with Roy Hodgson. That’s not necessarily a bad thing though. Hodgson’s brand of football is designed to get results against teams like Bournemouth. We think the Eagles will come away with all three points on Thursday.
Eberechi Eze is still out for Palace, which definitely makes their lives more difficult, but they have a deeper side than Bournemouth, so they should be able to cope better with this midweek fixture than the Cherries.
Predicted Lineups
Crystal Palace: Johnstone; Ward, Andersen, Guehi, Mitchell; Hughes, Lerma; Olise, Ayew, Schlupp; Edouard
Bournemouth: Neto; Smith, Zabarnyi, Senesi, Kerkez; Cook, Christie; Tavernier, Kluivert, Semenyo; Solanke
Manchester United vs. Chelsea
Old Trafford, 6:15 AM, Thursday, December 7
Manchester United vs. Chelsea is a matchup of two of the most confusing teams in the Premier League. Both sides seem to be doing alright, despite the fact they never look convincing when they win. They look even worse when they lose.
Last week, Manchester United lost 1-0 to Newcastle in a match that really could have been much worse. Chelsea were lucky in their own right over the weekend and won 3-2 at home against Brighton.
This match should end in a draw, considering both clubs’ recent form, but we like Manchester United in this match. They are playing at home and are probably the better side.

Predicted Lineups
Man Utd: Onana; Wan-Bissaka, Maguire, Lindelof, Dalot; McTominay, Mainoo; Antony; Fernandes; Garnacho; Hojlund
Chelsea: Sanchez; James; Silva, Badiashile, Colwill; Caicedo, Fernandez; Sterling, Palmer, Mudryk; Jackson
Aston Villa vs. Manchester City
Villa Park, 6:15 AM, Thursday, December 7
Aston Villa have surprised everyone this season under their new manager Unai Emery. The Villains are fourth in the table and just four points off top spot in the Premier League table. As good as they have been, Villa are not very good away from home. This was evident last weekend against Bournemouth. Back at home, Villa should be more comfortable. Unfortunately for them, their opponent is Man City.
Pep Guardiola’s side have given up 10 goals in their last four matches. Three of these four matches turned into wild affairs that nearly got out of hand for City. We are expecting the Premier League champions to reign things in against Villa and get their title challenge back on track.
City should win this match, but we are not expecting a lot of goals here.
Predicted Lineups
Aston Villa: Martinez; Konsa, Carlos, Torres; Cash, Kamara, Luiz, Moreno; Diaby, McGinn; Watkins
Man City: Ederson; Walker, Dias, Gvardiol, Akanji; Stones, Kovacic; Silva, Alvarez, Grealish; Haaland
Everton vs. Newcastle
Goodison Park, 5:30 AM, Friday, December 8
Everton put three points on the board over the weekend with a victory against Nottingham Forest. This puts them just two points away from getting out of the relegation zone following the club’s 10-point deduction. The betting sites think there is a very good chance they get three points this weekend against Newcastle.
The Toffee’s are slight underdogs against Newcastle. We think this is a mistake. If Eddie Howe’s side has shown anything over the past few weeks amid their injury crisis it’s that they can get scrappy wins. A scrappy win is exactly what we expect to see from Newcastle at Goodison Park on Friday.
Predicted Lineups
Everton: Pickford; Young, Tarkowski, Branthwaite, Mykolenko; Harrison, Garner, Gueye, McNeil; Doucoure; Calvert-Lewin
Newcastle: Dubravka; Trippier, Lascelles, Schar, Livramento; Miley, Guimaraes, Joelinton; Almiron, Isak, Gordon
Tottenham vs. West Ham
Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, 6:15 AM, Friday, December 8
Tottenham continue to impress under their new manager Ange Postecoglou. It’s hard to believe this team was playing dreary, defensive football just a year ago under Antonio Conte. Spurs play aggressive, attacking football, and never know when to stop. Their injury crisis has likely stopped their title challenge, but Tottenham matches are still must-watch every weekend.
West Ham are not a must-watch team under David Moyes, but they are steadily improving their attack thanks to summer signee Mohammed Kudus and a reinvented Jared Bowen.
Spurs should win this match, but the Hammers’ ability to counter effectively could make this one of the most entertaining matches of the weekend.

Predicted Lineups

West Ham: Areola; Coufal, Zouma, Aguerd, Emerson; Alvarez, Ward-Prowse; Kudus, Soucek, Paqueta; Bowen
