Since the end of October, Manchester City have been the worst team in the Premier League. The reigning champions have picked up just four points from their four matches since October 30. What’s worse is that these results are totally fair.
Man City can’t score and give up goals to anyone willing to go at them. The Sky Blues have scored just five goals in their last five matches and have kept only one clear sheet in their last 12 matches across all competitions.
Leicester City come into this match on a three-game losing streak. The Foxes are 18th and will probably lose this match. If you want to back a big outsider this weekend though, maybe they are worth putting a few bucks on.

Palace are the favourites here and they deserve to be. The Eagles’ only losses in their last eight matches have been to Arsenal. They are undefeated otherwise. Moreover, Palace’s opponents are truly dreadful right now.
Southampton are on a nine-match winless streak and have scored only one goal in their last five games. The Saints have been better on the road though. They drew two of their last three away from St. Mary’s.
Southampton could make things difficult for Palace, but the Eagles should have enough to win this easily.

Everton continued their run of good performances against “big clubs” on Boxing Day with a 1-1 draw against Manchester City.
Nottingham Forest also got a good result on the festive fixture date with a 1-0 win at home to Tottenham. That victory means that Reds have now won five of their past six and are fourth in the table.
Despite their strong form heading into this match. We can’t overlook Everton’s chances. It’s not just their recent results against big teams that’s making us say this either. Nottingham Forest have not beaten the Toffees in the EPL since their most recent promotion.
Furthermore, Forest thrive on the counter attack. Everton won’t give them many chances to do that.
This should be a tight game between two well-coached sides, so we’re taking a draw.

Bournemouth have won three of the clubs’ six EPL meetings since 2018, with Fulham winning two and the other resulting in a draw. Home advantage definitely plays a part though. Both clubs won their home fixture against each other last season.

Boxing Day results aside, both these teams are really struggling right now. Tottenham have won just one of their last six EPL matches and manager Ange Postecoglou is on the hot seat. Wolves already sacked their manager and are just one point out of the relegation zone.
With teams like this, it can be hard to predict a winner, but we are going to bet on the new manager bounce. Wolves are on a two-match winning run, and had multiple goals and a clean sheet in both games.

After Chelsea dropped points to Fulham on Boxing Day, Liverpool are now the clear title favourites again according to the betting sites. We don’t expect that to change any time soon either.
The Reds have lost just one of their 26 matches in all competitions this season. Liverpool also have the added benefit of having beaten Spurs 6-3 in their last trip to London in Matchweek 17 just a week ago.
West Ham are improving. We’ll give them that. The Hammers have lost just one of their last five matches. However, they still have a long way to go before we feel confident saying that they have what it takes to beat this Liverpool team.

After starting the season strong, Brighton are now 10th in the table. The Seagulls’ 0-0 draw with Brentford brings their winless run to six-matches. What’s worse for Fabian Hurzeler’s side is that they should have won many of these games.
Silly mistakes and poor finishing has held Brighton back massively during this run. They can’t afford to make the same mistakes in Matchweek 19.
Aston Villa have a phenomenal record against Brighton at Villa Park. The Villains have an overall record of 4W, 2D, and 1L against the Seagulls since 2017. Brighton have scored more than one goal just once at Villa Park since 2020. Unai Emery’s side won this game 6-1 last season.
Brighton have been better on the road this season than last year, so some EPL predictions have tipped them to do well here. We don’t see it though, as Brighton are massively overperforming their xG in away matches. That luck is bound to run out soon. This should be a win for Villa.

Ipswich Town started the season as perhaps the best of the three newly-promoted sides. However, it now looks like the Tractor Boys’ luck has run out.
Kieran McKenna’s team have only won one of their last six and have been shut out in back-to-back matchweeks. They have created the least xG in the league and their defensive record is also atrocious. Ipswich have conceded in each of their last 14 matches.
Chelsea have also come back down to earth a bit, after losing to Fulham on Boxing Day. The Blues now sit in third, seven points behind Liverpool in the EPL title race.
On the bright side for Chelsea here, they are the best away attacking team in the league. They also have a very deep team, which means they can cope with this congested fixture period better than most EPL teams.
Chelsea should be winning this match comfortably.

Manchester United vs. Newcastle is the marquee matchup of EPL Matchweek 19, and it’s looking like it will live up to the hype.
Ruben Amorim and Man Utd have now lost three on the bounce. Even worse, Bruno Fernandes was sent off on Boxing Day. The Portuguese has been Man Utd’s only real attacking outlet all this season. It’s hard to see them coping without him here.
Newcastle are on a much better run. The Magpies have won each of their last four and have kept clean sheets in two of their last three. Eddie Howe’s team also has a good attacking record at Old Trafford. They created over 2xG in this fixture last season.
Matches this time of year tend to have a lot of goals, and with Man Utd limited defensively, we think this could be a big win for Newcastle.

After beating Ipswich Town on Friday, Arsenal are second in the table yet again. The Gunners are six points back of Liverpool and still have the best defensive record in the EPL with just 7 goals conceded all year.
Meanwhile on Friday, Brentford put a stop to their three-match losing streak with a 0-0 draw against Brighton. The Bees were outshot 24-8 in that match and were very lucky to come away with a point and a clean sheet.
Despite their poor form, Brentford’s first-place home record remains intact (7W, 1D, 1L), but according to the xG, that won’t last forever either. The Bees have an xG differential of +6.8 at home, which is 7th best in the EPL.
Basically, Brentford’s home record is good, but not good enough for us to think they can beat Arsenal at home.
