Everton vs. Tottenham
Goodison Park, 11:30 PM, Saturday, February 3
Everton are in 18th place and have not won a league match since mid-December. Despite that, the betting sites love the Toffees. In our betting experts’ opinion, Sean Dyche’s side is regularly overvalued by soccer betting sites. This is definitely the case this week.
Tottenham are fourth in the table, on a seven-match unbeaten streak in the Premier League, and beat Everton 2-1 last month. All these things are true, but Tottenham are only slight favourites against the Toffees.
You can back Spurs at greater than $2.00 odds at most top Australian betting sites. This is great value considering the difference in quality between these teams. Yes, Everton are playing at home, but don’t let this sway you.
The Toffees are averaging just 1.00 points per match at home this season. On the road, they are averaging 1.55 points per match, so playing at Goodison hasn’t actually been that much of an advantage this season.
Predicted Lineups
Everton: Pickford; Patterson, Tarkowski, Branthwaite, Mykolenko; Young, Garner, Onana, McNeil, Harrison; Calvert-Lewin
Tottenham: Vicario; Porro, Romero, Van De Ven, Udogie; Skipp, Bentancur, Maddison; Kulusevski, Richarlison, Werner
Brighton vs. Crystal Palace
American Express Stadium, 2:00 AM, Sunday, February 4
These two bitter rivals have drawn four of their last five Premier League matches. Each of those draws have been 1-1 draws. Both sets of fans are desperate for this fixture to finally deliver on the hype it gets every time it shows up on the schedule. Will Matchweek 23 live up to the hype? Unfortunately, our EPL betting experts think no.
Brighton have not scored in three Premier League matches. Without Kaoru Mitoma and Simon Adingra on the wings, we don’t see this streak ending against Palace. To be fair, Palace scored three goals against Sheffield United in Matchweek 22. It will be a big ask to do that again though away at Brighton.
We’re backing a 0-0 or 1-1 draw in this one.
Predicted Lineups
Brighton: Verbruggen; Hinshelwood, Van Hecke, Dunk, Estupinan; Gross, Baleba, Gilmour; Buonanotte, Welbeck, Pedro
Crystal Palace: Henderson; Clyne, Andersen, Guehi, Mitchell; Richards, Lerma; Ayew, Eze, Schlupp; Mateta
Burnley vs. Fulham
Turf Moor, 2:00 AM, Sunday, February 4
Fulham’s signing of Armando Broja was the biggest EPL deadline day signing. The Cottagers secured the Chelsea striker on loan for the rest of the season. He probably won’t be put into the starting lineup right away. That’s alright because we don’t think Fulham will need him against Burnley.
Vincent Kompany’s side have continued to plough on with their brave strategy of playing through the back. Fulham, meanwhile, are a very versatile side who do best against sides who come at them as opposed to sitting back.
Stylistically, we see this match going heavily in Fulham’s favour. With that being said, both these teams are on poor runs of form and Burnley are playing at home, so wouldn’t blame you for backing a draw or even taking a punt on a Burnley win here.

Predicted Lineups
Burnley: Trafford; Vitinho, O’Shea, Beyer, Taylor; Berge, Brownhill; Gudmundsson, Amdouni, Odobert; Rodriguez
Fulham: Leno; Castagne, Tosin, Diop, Robinson; Palhinha, Cairney; Decordova-Reid, Pereira, Willian; Muniz
Newcastle vs. Luton Town
St. James' Park, 2:00 AM, Sunday, February 4
Luton Town bagged a surprising, dominating victory against Brighton last week. The Hatters scored two goals in the opening three minutes of the match. They didn’t let up from there and scored another two goals to beat the Seagulls 4-0.
Playing away at Newcastle will be a much bigger challenge for Luton. Eddie Howe’s side are having a down year, but they rarely lose at home. The Magpies have one of the best records in the league when playing at St. James' Park. With Callum Wilson potentially coming back in this match as well, we don’t see Newcastle losing this one.
However, fatigue has been a constant problem for Newcastle this season, so don’t be surprised if this ends up being a tighter match than you’d expect given the short turnaround between match weeks.
Predicted Lineups
Newcastle: Dubravka; Trippier, Schar, Botman, Burn; Miley, Guimaraes, Longstaff; Almiron, Isak, Gordon
Luton Town: Kaminski; Mengi, Osho, Bell; Ogbene, Barkley, Lokanga, Doughty; Townsend, Adebayo, Morris
Sheffield United vs. Aston Villa
Bramall Lane, 4:30 AM, Sunday, February 4
Aston Villa will be dying to come back strong after their disappointing 3-1 defeat to Newcastle last week. Unai Emery’s men have won just one of their last five matches, and have slipped from fringe title contenders down to potential top four challengers.
Sheffield United meanwhile, put up a brave fight in a 3-2 loss to Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Wednesday. The Blades scored in under a minute and looked like they were going to get something from the match for most of it. It wasn’t to be though, and Sheffield United suffered yet another loss.
To Sheffield United’s credit, they’ve scored multiple goals in five of their last six matches. They're bound to get another Premier League win on the board soon, but it won’t be this week. Aston Villa should win this one easily.
Predicted Lineups
Sheff Utd: Grbic; Bogle, Ahmedhodzic, Robinson, Trusty; Hamer, Souza, Brooks; McAtee, Osula, Brereton
Aston Villa: Martinez; Ngoyo, Carlos, Lenglet, Moreno; Bailey, Kamara, Luiz, McGinn, Tielemans; Watkins
Bournemouth vs. Nottingham Forest
Vitality Stadium, 1:00 AM, Monday, February 5
Nottingham Forest invested big in the January window. They brought American international Gio Reyna from Dortmund and Sporting CP’s Rodrigo Ribeiro in on loan. It’s probably too early for these young attackers to start, but they might get a run out against Bournemouth.
The Cherries stood pat in the January transfer window, making just one signing, and will be coming into this match with pretty much their normal side. Well, their normal side minus Dango Ouattara, who is still at the AFCON with Ivory Coast.
Even with Forest’s additions, you have to back Bournemouth to get a win here. The Cherries are better coached, more talented, and have a genuine goal scorer in Domininc Solanke, which is something Forest are missing right now. When you add in how bad the Reds are away from home, this should be a comfortable victory for Bournemouth.
Predicted Lineups
Bournemouth: Neto; Cook, Zabarnyi, Senesi, Kelly; Christie, Scott; Tavernier, Kluivert, Sinisterra; Solanke
Nottm Forest: Turner; Montiel, Omobamidele, Murillo, Toffolo; Mangala, Danilo; Dominguez, Gibbs-White, Hudson-Odoi; Wood
Chelsea vs. Wolves
Stamford Bridge, 1:00 AM, Monday, February 5
Both Chelsea and Wolves showed just how far they are off from the top-tier of the Premier League in their Matchweek 22 fixtures.
The Blues were outclassed and outgunned by a Liverpool side who were missing Mo Salah and Trent Alexander-Arnold. Wolves, meanwhile, lost to Manchester United, who are in the middle of a crisis at the moment.
This match will be one both teams should be more comfortable with. Talent-wise, Chelsea have the edge, but their defence really needs addressing. Pochettino has not settled on a solid back four, which makes Chelsea vulnerable against any team.
The Blues haven’t exactly been great on the other side of the ball either. They’ve scored just two goals in their last three matches against Premier League teams.
Home-field advantage could see Chelsea win here, but we think a draw is the most likely outcome in this one.
Predicted Lineups
Chelsea: Petrovic; Disasi, Silva, Badiashile, Chilwell; Caicedo, Fernandez; Palmer, Gallagher, Sterling; Madueke
Wolves: Sa; Kilman, Dawson, Toti; Semedo, Lemina, Doyle, Doherty; Sarabia, Neto, Cunha
Manchester United vs. West Ham
Old Trafford, 1:00 AM, Monday, February 5
Manchester United continue to get results on the pitch while dealing with drama off of it. The most recent scandal at Old Trafford surrounds Marcus Rashford and his decision to go to a Belfast nightclub one night before training last week. The winger missed training and was left out of Man U’s FA Cup squad against Newport County.
Rashford scored the Red Devils’ opening goal against Wolves. Rasmus Højlund doubled the lead before Wolves mounted a strong comeback and tied the match 3-3 in the 95th minute. A 97th minute game winner from youngster Kobbie Mainoo got Man U the victory, but it was not easy.
West Ham also played on Friday. The Hammers drew 1-1 with Bournemouth in a low-key affair.
Against United, West Ham have to be favourites. David Moyes has already proved once this season that his counter attacking system is perfect to stop Manchester United. We’re expecting another victory on Monday.

Double Chance 2 - West Ham WIN or DRAW | $2.20 | |

Predicted Lineups
Man Utd: Onana; Dalot, Varane, Martinez, Shaw; Mainoo, Casemiro; Garnacho, Fernandes, Rashford; Hojlund
West Ham: Areola; Johnson, Mavropanos, Zouma, Emerson; Phillips, Soucek, Alvarez; Kudus, Bowen, Ward-Prowse
Arsenal vs. Liverpool
Emirates Stadium, 3:30 AM, Monday, February 5
This match is by far the biggest game of Matchweek 23. A loss here could see Arsenal drop out of the title race. Man City are right on Liverpool’s tail. If the Reds drop points, the EPL title race could be blown wide open.
Liverpool easily defeated Arsenal in the FA Cup 2-0 just earlier this month, but recent results between these sides have been close. Two of the last three matches have ended in draws.
On paper, we’re inclined to say this one will be a draw too, but if you look at how these teams have performed recently, Liverpool to win is the best bet here.
The Reds have won four straight and are undefeated in their 21 matches in domestic competitions. Arsenal have lost two of their last five EPL matches, and struggled to get a 2-1 win against Nottingham Forest last week.
Predicted Lineups
Arsenal: Raya; White, Saliba, Gabriel, Zinchenko; Odegaard, Rice, Havertz; Saka, Jesus, Martinelli
Liverpool: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Gomez; Szoboszlai, Mac Allister, Jones; Diaz, Jota, Nunez
Brentford vs. Manchester City
Gtech Community Stadium, 7:00 AM, Tuesday, February 6
Manchester City had a nice kickabout with Burnley last week and beat the Clarets 3-1 at home thanks to two goals from Julian Alvarez and a third from Rodri.
Brentford took an early lead against Tottenham, and rattled James Maddison in the process, last week, before giving up three second half goals to Spurs and losing the match 3-2. That kind of lack of composure will come to bite them against most teams, but against City, it’s a death sentence, especially since Erling Haaland is now back from injury.
The Norwegian wonderkid made an appearance off the bench for City. He’s expected to start on Tuesday, which is a bad sign for Brentford. This should be a multi-goal City win.
Predicted Lineups
Brentford: Flekken; Collins, Pinnock, Mee; Roerslev, Jensen, Norgaard, Janelt, Lewis-Potter; Maupay, Toney
Man City: Ederson; Walker, Dias, Ake, Gvardiol; Rodri, Silva; Foden, De Bruyne, Doku; Haaland
