Newcastle vs. West Ham
St. James' Park, 11:30 PM, Saturday, March 30
David Moyes’ West Ham have lost just one of their last five matches, and look like one of the main contenders to qualify for European soccer next season. They are also one of the healthiest teams in the league right now, which gives them a massive leg up on the rest of the league this week who have many players injured and tired coming back from the international break.
Newcastle are sitting in 10th place heading into EPL Matchweek 30. Despite their disappointing season, the Magpies are still one of the best teams at home this season. We think this could make up for the difference in quality between West Ham and Newcastle right now.
Three out of the last four matches between these sides have been draws. A draw is our pick for this weekend as well.
Bookmaker | Tip | Odds |
Double Chance 2 - West Ham WIN or DRAW | $1.93
Draw No Bet - WEST HAM | $2.95
UNDER 3. 5 Goals | $1.61 |
Predicted Lineups
Newcastle: Dubravka; Livramento, Schar, Lascelles, Burn; Longstaff, Guimaraes, Willock; Almiron, Isak, Gordon
West Ham: Areola; Coufal, Mavropanos, Zouma, Emerson; Ward-Prowse, Soucek; Bowen,Paqueta, Kudus; Antonio
Bournemouth vs. Everton
Vitality Stadium, 2:00 AM, Sunday, March 31
Andoni Iraola’s first season at Bournemouth could not have gone much better. The Cherries are clear of relegation and just completed one of the biggest comebacks in Premier League history against Luton Town.
Everton are also safe for the time being, but that could change if they are given another points deduction, or if they can’t shake this bad run of form. The Toffees have not won a match since December 16, 2023. What’s worse is that they are creating chances but not converting them.
Bournemouth are one of the best teams at limiting chances in the league. They are the exact kind of team you don’t want to play in a slump. They held Man City to just one goal a few weeks ago. Sunday will be a long day for Sean Dyche’s side. The Cherries should get a win here.
Predicted Lineups
Bournemouth: Neto; Smith, Mepham, Zabarnyi, Ouattara; Cook, Christie; Semenyo, Scott, Tavernier; Solanke
Everton: Pickford; Godfrey, Tarkowski, Branthwaite, Mykolenko; Harrison, Garner, Onana, McNeil; Doucoure; Calvert-Lewin
Chelsea vs. Burnley
Stamford Bridge, 2:00 AM, Sunday, March 31
Burnley are just five points away from safety after Nottingham Forest’s points deduction. They’re season looked over, but now, they have everything to play for.
Chelsea are on the opposite end of the spectrum. They have nothing to play for. They are proverbially “on the beach.” Even with that being true, Chelsea should get a win this week.
The Blues battered Burnley 4-1 earlier this season and have lost just one of their last five matches overall. When you add in that Chelsea are playing at home, we can’t see them losing this match.
Just betting Chelsea to win is not great value though. Instead, you should look at the goals markets. Eight out of the last ten matches for both Burnley and Chelsea have had over 2.5 goals. Chelsea have scored first in six of their last seven matches.
Bookmaker | Tip | Odds |
Chelsea to WIN and OVER 2.5 Goals | $1.75
OVER 2.5 Goals | $1.50 | |
Half Time Result - CHELSEA | $1.69 |
Predicted Lineups
Chelsea: Petrovic; Gusto, Disasi, Chalobah, Cucurella; Fernandez, Caicedo; Palmer, Gallagher, Sterling; Jackson
Burnley: Muric; Assignon, O’Shea, Esteve, Taylor; Vitinho, Cullen, Berge, Larsen; Amdouni, Odobert
Nottingham Forest vs. Crystal Palace
The City Ground, 2:00 AM, Sunday, March 31
This weekend is full of matches that look like they will be thrilling fixtures. Nottingham Forest vs. Crystal Palace is not one of them.
These two teams are just not exciting to watch. Four of the last five Forest matches have had less than 2.5 goals. Palace haven’t scored more than one goal in just one of their last six matches.
The last match between these two sides finished 0-0. The two matches before that were a 1-1 draw and a dull 1-0 victory for Forest.
The Reds are better at home than away and Palace have not looked great anywhere this season. This makes us want to give a slight edge to Forest, but we can’t look past the last few matches between these sides. This match will be another low-scoring draw.
Predicted Lineups
Nottm Forest: Sels; Williams, Boly, Murillo, Toffolo; Yates, Sangare; Origi, Gibbs-White, Elanga; Wood
Crystal Palace: Henderson; Ward, Andersen, Richards; Munoz, Wharton, Lerma, Mitchell; Ayew, Mateta, Eze
Sheffield United vs. Fulham
Bramall Lane, 2:00 AM, Sunday, March 31
Fulham under Marco Silva have defied all expectations this season and currently sit in 12th place. Sheffield United, meanwhile, are exactly where we expected them to be, bottom of the table.
The Blades are actually coming into this match following an impressive 2-2 draw with Bournemouth. This result was very much an outlier though. Sheffield United had lost their three matches before that draw by a combined margin of 12-0. They have not kept a clean sheet since December 9, 2023.
Fulham have kept a clean sheet in two of their last three matches and scored multiple goals in three of their last four. Beating the Blades should be very doable for Fulham.
If you’re looking to go against the grain and back Sheffield United here, consider betting the under. We could see the Blades sitting back and asking Fulham to break them down, which the Cottagers have not done much of this season.
Predicted Lineups
Sheff Utd: Grbic; Baldock, Trusty, Robinson; Bogle, Davies, Arblaster, Hamer, Osborn; McBurnie, Brereton-Diaz
Fulham: Leno; Castagne, Tosin, Bassey, Robinson; Palhinha, Lukic; Iwobi, Pereira, Willian; Muniz
Tottenham vs. Luton Town
Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, 2:00 AM, Sunday, March 31
According to the betting sites, Tottenham vs. Luton Town is the biggest mismatch of EPL Matchweek 30 with Spurs being huge favourites. So, are they right? Yes, definitely.
Spurs are in a bit of slump right now, after losing two of their last five matches, but they still are a much more talented side than Luton. Don’t get us wrong, the Hatters have shown that they can go toe-to-toe with anyone, but we’re starting to worry they’ve run out of juice.
Luton threw away a big lead against Bournemouth two weeks ago, and needed a last minute goal from Luke Berry to get a point against Forest at home. To get more into the numbers, the Hatters haven’t kept a clean sheet since their 4-0 win over Brighton in January.
Spurs have too much fire power. They should beat Luton and do so by a big margin.
Bookmaker | Tip | Odds |
OVER 3.5 Goals | $1.65 | |
Both Teams To Score - YES | $1.65
First Team To Be Booked - LUTON | $1.50 |
Predicted Lineups
Tottenham: Vicario; Porro, Romero, Drăgușin, Udogie; Bissouma, Sarr; Kulusevski, Maddison, Johnson; Son
Luton Town: Kaminski; Burke, Mengi, Kabore; Ogbene, Ruddock, Barkley, Doughty; Clark, Morris, Chong
Aston Villa vs. Wolves
Villa Park, 4:30 AM, Sunday, March 31
This is a matchup between two of the best-coached teams in the Premier League this season. It’s also a battle of two of the most in-form teams in the league. Villa and Wolves have won three of their last five matches. With that being said, Villa need the points more this week so they can stay in contention for the Champions League next season.
We think Villa will have a tough time getting the points they need this weekend. Wolves are good at sitting back and asking teams to break them down. Villa is all about scoring in transition moments. The Villains won’t get many chances to counter against Wolves.
Wolves will have problems scoring too though. Matheus Cunha, Hwang Hee-Chan, and Pedro Neto, Wolves entire front three, are expected to miss this match with injury.
Overall, Villa will probably get the win, but it won’t be pretty.
Predicted Lineups
Aston Villa: Martinez; Konsa, Lenglet, Torres, Moreno; Bailey, Tielemans, Luiz, Rogers; Duran, Watkins
Wolves: Sa; Semedo, Bueno, Kilman, Ait-Nouri; Gomes, Lemina; Sarabia, Doyle, Bellegarde; Fraser
Brentford vs. Manchester Unite
Gtech Community Stadium, 7:00 AM, Sunday, March 31
With nine matches left in the season, Brentford are just five points out of the relegation zone. They are winless in their last six matches and desperately needing points.
Manchester United need points too if they are going to close the 9-point gap between themselves and Aston Villa in fourth. Before losing back-to-back matches to Fulham and Man City, the betting sites liked Man United’s chances of qualifying for the Champions League. It seems impossible now.
Getting a win at Brentford won’t be impossible for Man Utd though. The Red Devils have lost just once to Brentford since the Bees entered the Premier League in 2021. However, scoring has not been easy for United recently, so this could be a close one.
Predicted Lineups
Brentford: Flekken; Jorgensen, Ajer, Collins; Roerslev, Onyeka, Jensen, Janelt, Ghoddos; Toney, Wissa
Man Utd: Onana; Dalot, Lindelof, Varane, Wan-Bissaka; McTominay, Mainoo; Garnacho, Fernandes, Rashford; Hojlund
Liverpool vs. Brighton
Anfield, 12:00 AM, Monday, April 1
Brighton are in arguably their worst ever slump since Roberto De Zerbi took over the side midway through last season. The Seagulls have won just three of their last nine Premier League matches and been on the wrong end of several bad results in recent weeks.
Liverpool and ‘Klopp’s Kids’ are in a much better overall form than Brighton right now, but the Reds’ 4-3 loss to Manchester United in the FA Cup before the international break could be a sign that they don’t have the legs to compete for the title this season.
Even if Liverpool may not win the title this year, we think they’ll do well against Brighton. Anfield is still a fortress and Brighton’s back line has looked shakier than ever recently.
We’re going for a Liverpool win and lots of goals. Five out the last six matches between these teams have had more than three goals scored. 50% of the last six matches between these two have seen both teams score two goals or more each.
Predicted Lineups
Liverpool: Kelleher; Bradley, Quansah, Van Dijk, Robertson; Mac Allister, Endo, Szoboszlai; Salah, Nunez, Diaz
Brighton: Steele; Lamptey, Van Hecke, Dunk, Igor; Gilmour, Gross; Buonanotte, Enciso, Adingra; Welbeck
Manchester City vs. Arsenal
Etihad Stadium, 3:30 AM, Monday, April 1
This match is by far the biggest one of EPL Matchweek 30. We could potentially see the Premier League title decided with this very match. Arsenal are currently top of the table with 64 points. Man City are just one point behind in third with 63 points.
Because this is such an important match, most Man City vs. Arsenal predictions have this match being a tight, cagey affair. We’re going to go out on a limb and disagree with those predictions and predict a big win for Man City here.
These teams have played twice already this season. Once in the Community Shield, then again two months later. Arsenal won both those matches, but if we know anything about City, they start slow and finish the season strong. This is exactly why the Gunners lost the Premier League last season.
Arsenal played Man City twice in the second half of the season last year. The Cityzens won those matches 3-1 and 4-1. We can see something similar happening this year too.
Predicted Lineups
Man City: Ortega; Lewis, Dias, Akanji, Ake; Rodri, Stones; Foden, Silva, De Bruyne; Alvarez, Haaland
Arsenal: Raya; White, Saliba, Gabriel, Zinchenko; Odegaard, Jorginho, Rice; Saka, Havertz, Trossard
