Arsenal vs. Everton
Emirates Stadium, 1:00 AM, Monday, May 20
Arsenal’s title hopes are still alive after their 1-0 win at a rainy Old Trafford last week. If Manchester City don’t win and the Gunners get a victory at home, they will be the 2023/24 Premier League Champions.
Everton, meanwhile, are safe from relegation. Toffees fans have started looking ahead to look ahead to next season, which looks to be another one full of financial troubles and potential points deductions.
Given the context of one team having everything to play for and the other already done for the season, we see this match going only one way. The Gunners should win this by at least two goals. They’ve scored three or more in three of their last four matches.
Predicted Lineups
Arsenal: Raya; White, Saliba, Gabriel, Tomiyasu; Odegaard, Partey, Rice; Saka, Havertz, Trossard
Everton: Pickford; Coleman, Tarkowski, Branthwaite, Young; Garner, Gueye, Onana, McNeil; Doucoure; Calvert-Lewin
Brentford vs. Newcastle
Gtech Community Stadium, 1:00 AM, Monday, May 20
Brentford got an impressive 2-1 win over a high-flying Bournemouth side last week. Yoane Wissa scored the winner in the 95th minute after the Bees allowed Dominc Solanke to score an equaliser in the 89th minute.
Newcastle’s surprising 1-1 draw with Brighton over the weekend means they still have a bit of work to do to secure a European place for next season. They need to perform better than Chelsea down the stretch to guarantee a spot in either the Europa League or Europa Conference League.
Brentford are undefeated in their last five home matches and have lost just one of their last eight. Newcastle have won three of their last five, but lost 2-0 away to Crystal Palace in their last trip to London three weeks ago.
As much as Newcastle need the points here, we see this one ending in a draw.
Predicted Lineups
Brentford: Flekken; Ajer, Collins, Pinnock, Reguilon; Damsgaard, Norgaard, Janelt; Mbeumo, Toney, Lewis-Potter
Newcastle: Dubravka; Livramento, Krafth, Burn, Hall; Longstaff, Guimaraes, Anderson; Murphy, Isak, Gordon
Brighton vs. Manchester United
American Express Stadium, 1:00 AM, Monday, May 20
Manchester United managed to hold Arsenal to just one goal over the weekend at Old Trafford. The overwhelming feeling from that match was that Arsenal only scored one because they didn’t want to score more. It was clear the Gunners took their foot off the gas after the first goal. Frankly, Man Utd looked like they had done the same from the opening whistle.
Brighton’s 1-1 draw with Newcastle was not a stellar performance by any means, but it was a necessary one. Like Man Utd, the Seagulls were in a huge second-half-of-the-season slump. A win against Villa and this recent draw have helped turn the tide.
If Erik ten Hag’s Man Utd couldn’t get up for it against Arsenal at home, we can’t see them doing in a meaningless game against a refreshed Brighton. The Seagulls should get a win here.
Predicted Lineups
Brighton: Verbruggen; Veltman, Webster, Dunk, Igor; Gross, Gilmour; Buonanotte, Enciso, Adingra; Welbeck
Man Utd: Onana; Wan-Bissaka, Casemiro, Evans, Dalot; Mainoo, Amrabat; Fernandes, McTominay, Garnacho; Hojlund
Burnley vs. Nottingham Forest
Turf Moor, 1:00 AM, Monday, May 20
With their 2-1 loss to Tottenham, Burnley are officially going back down to the Championship next season. A late push in recent weeks kept their hopes alive longer than it probably should have as Vincent Kompany’s men have been outclassed all season long.
Nottingham Forest also lost last week, losing 3-2 to Chelsea. The Reds are technically not safe because of this since Luton Town could make up the goal differential. A 12-goal swing is needed though, so Forest are probably safe. A draw or win would make none of this matter.
Will the Reds get the result they need? We think so. Burnley have lost two straight after putting together a good string of results. Forest have won just one of their last five, but they’ve looked better than those results show, scoring two against Wolves and Chelsea.
Predicted Lineups
Burnley: Muric; Assignon, O’Shea, Esteve, Taylor; Larsen, Cullen, Berge, Vitinho; Odobert, Fofana
Nottm Forest: Sels; Montiel, Boly, Murillo, Niakhate, Aina; Gibbs-White, Yates, Danilo, Hudson-Odoi; Wood
Chelsea vs. Bournemouth
Stamford Bridge, 1:00 AM, Monday, May 20
After a terrible start to the season, Chelsea are not only set to finish in the top half but also within shouting distance of finishing in a Europa League spot. The Blues won 3-2 against Nottingham Forest over the weekend, putting them in seventh, level with Newcastle in sixth.
Bournemouth have also defied expectations this season. The Cherries were once relegation candidates. Now, they could finish in the top half. A tough loss to Brentford at home last week makes that more difficult, but a win here could get the job done.
As good as Bournemouth have been, going on current form, we’d have to pick Chelsea. The Cherries have just one win on the road against Big 6 teams this season, and that was against Man Utd. We don’t see them getting their second this weekend.

Predicted Lineups
Chelsea: Petrovic; Chalobah, Silva, Badiashile, Cucurella; Caicedo, Gallagher; Madueke, Palmer, Mudryk; Jackson
Bournemouth: Travers; Smith, Zabarnyi, Senesi, Kelly; Christie, Cook; Semenyo, Kluivert, Ouattara; Solanke
Crystal Palace vs. Aston Villa
Selhurst Park, 1:00 AM, Monday, May 20
Aston Villa’s thrilling 3-3 draw with Liverpool and Tottenham’s midweek loss to Man City means Villa are guaranteed to finish in fourth this season. Unai Emery has brought the Champions League to Aston Villa.
Oliver Glasner hasn’t brought Champions League football to Crystal Palace, but they are looking like a side who could be in the running next season. The Eagles won 3-1 last week against Wolves thanks to a pair of stellar performances by Michael Olise and Eberechi Eze.
Aston Villa’s only away win since March 2 was their 2-0 win over Arsenal in Matchweek 33. Their most recent road match was a 1-0 loss to Brighton. Palace, meanwhile, have lost just once at home since Glasner took over in mid-February. They’ve won their last three home matches by two goals or more.
Palace should continue their strong home run and get another win here.
Predicted Lineups
Crystal Palace: Henderson; Clyne, Andersen, Richards; Munoz, Wharton, Hughes, Mitchell; Olise, Mateta, Eze
Aston Villa: Martinez; Konsa, Carlos, Torres, Digne; Tielemans, Luiz; Bailey, Diaby, McGinn; Watkins
Liverpool vs. Wolves
Anfield, 1:00 AM, Monday, May 20
Liverpool’s title hopes have been over for weeks. That hasn’t stopped the Reds from delivering plenty of exciting results though. Liverpool’s 3-3 draw with Villa was the match of the week in Matchweek 37.
Wolves, meanwhile, have done a great job of limiting excitement whenever possible. Gary O’Neil’s side are very solid defensively and rarely give up three goals or more. Their standards are starting to slip though. Wolves have won just one of their last nine matches. That win was against Luton Town.
Given their recent form, we can’t see Wolves putting up much of a fight in what’s set to be Jurgen Klopp’s final match at Anfield. Liverpool will get a convincing win here to send Klopp off in style.
Predicted Lineups
Liverpool: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Quansah, van Dijk, Roberton; Eliott, Endo, Mac Allister; Salah, Gakpo, Diaz
Wolves: Sa; Semedo, Kilman, Gomes; Doherty, Gomes, Lemina, Traore; Ait-Nouri, Hwang, Cunha
Luton Town vs. Fulham
Kenilworth Road, 1:00 AM, Monday, May 20
There’s good and bad news at Kenilworth Road heading into Matchweek 38 for Luton Town. The Hatters are still safe from relegation heading into the final matchday. The bad news is they need Nottingham Forest to lose and to make up a 12-goal goal difference. To make matters worse, Forest are playing Burnley.
Fulham were destroyed 4-0 by Man City last week and have one of the worst road records in the Premier League this season. The Cottagers have just three wins on the road. Only Luton, Nottingham Forest, and the already-relegated teams have worse records.
A win here is definitely possible for Luton, but not a win big enough to secure their safety. Despite that, we see Luton going for it in this one. We’re willing to bet that the Hatters get a least a draw.
Bookmaker | Tip | Odds |
Double Chance 1 - Luton WIN or DRAW | $1.63 | |
OVER 2.5 Goals | $1.50 | |
Double Chance 1 - Luton WIN or DRAW | $1.64 |
Predicted Lineups
Luton: Kaminski; Burke, Mengi, Osho; Onyedinma, Lokonga, Barkley, Doughty; Morris, Adebayo, Chong
Fulham: Leno; Castagne, Bassey, Ream, Robinson; Iwobi, Palhinha; De Cordova-Reid, Pereira, Willian; Muniz
Manchester City vs. West Ham
Etihad Stadium, 1:00 AM, Monday, May 20
The 2023/24 Premier League title is in Manchester City’s hands. A win makes them champions. A loss or draw could see the title go to Arsenal if the Gunners win against Everton.
West Ham’s 3-1 win showed that they still have some life left in them. The Hammers looked ready for the season to be over weeks ago after losing three of four and getting shut out by Chelsea in a 5-0 loss. This match will be David Moyes’ final in charge of West Ham. Unfortunately for him, he won’t be able to go out with a win.
Man City are unbeaten in their last 34 matches. They’ve won their last three home matches by a combined margin of 14-3. The betting sites have made them the biggest favourites of Matchweek 38. We have to agree. Man City will win this match by at least two goals and be the 2023/24 Premier League Champions.
Predicted Lineups
Man City: Ederson; Akanji, Dias, Ake, Gvardiol; Rodri, Kovacic; Silva, De Bruyne, Foden; Haaland
West Ham: Areola; Coufal, Zouma, Ogbonna, Emerson; Soucek, Ward-Prowse; Bowen, Kudus, Paqueta; Antonio
Sheffield United vs. Tottenham
Bramall Lane, 1:00 AM, Monday, May 20
Tottenham’s 2-0 midweek loss to Man City destroyed their dreams of qualifying for the Champions League this season. Ange Postecoglou could see his side fall even further if Newcastle win out. They’ll need a win here to ensure they qualify for the Europa League.
Sheffield United, on the other hand, have absolutely nothing to play for. The Blades have been relegated for weeks and have definitely been playing like the worst team in the Premier League. Sheff Utd have lost by multiple goals in each of their last five Premier League matches.
As heartwarming as it would be for the Blades to get a surprise victory to end the season, we don’t see it happening. Tottenham will win here by at least two goals.
Predicted Lineups
Sheff Utd: Foderingham; Ahmedhodžić, Trusty, Robinson; Bogle, Hamer, Arblaster, Brooks, Larouci; Archer, Brereton-Diaz
Tottenham: Vicario; Porro, Romero, Dargusin, van de Ven; Bentancur, Sarr; Kulusevski,Maddison, Johnson; Son
