Leicester City vs. Nottingham Forest
King Power Stadium, 6:00 AM, Saturday, October 26
Leicester City overcame a 2-0 deficit to beat Southampton in Matchweek. Despite the win, Foxes fans aren’t sold on manager Steve Cooper quite yet. Leicester are out of the relegation zone now, but a poor run of form could see them drawn back into the bottom three.
On the other hand, Nottingham Forest are nowhere near the relegation zone and fans have fallen in love with their new manager Nuno Espirito Santo. After beating Crystal Palace on Monday at The City Ground, the Reds are in eighth place. They have lost just one of their last seven matches.
Despite the recent form, these sides have historically been very close and exciting affairs. Four of the last five matches between these two have had more than 2.5 goals. Leicester’s poor defence tells us that this match will be another high scoring one.
Our pick is a 2-1 win for Nottingham Forest.
Predicted Lineups
Leicester: Hermansen; Justin, Faes, Okoli, Kristiansen; Ndidi, Skipp; Buonanotte, El Khannouss, Mavididi; Vardy
Forest: Sels; Aina, Milenkovic, Murillo, Moreno; Yates, Dominguez; Elanga, Anderson, Hudson-Odoi; Wood
Aston Villa vs. Bournemouth
Villa Park, 1:00 AM, Sunday, October 27
After beating Fulham 3-1 over the weekend, Aston Villa are now on a nine-match unbeaten run. The Villains are in fourth place and look like strong contenders to keep their position in the top four at the end of the season.
Bournemouth bounced back from their loss to Leicester before the international break with an impressive 2-0 win over EPL title contenders Arsenal. After that result, a lot of EPL predictions are backing the Cherries to get a good win against Villa this weekend. We don’t see that happening though.
Andoni Iraola’s men have won just one of their five matches on the road this season. Aston Villa, meanwhile, are undefeated at home and had one of the best home records in the Premier League last season.
This should be a simple, straightforward win for Aston Villa over Bournemouth.
Predicted Lineups
Aston Villa: Martinez; Cash, Carlos, Torres, Digne; Onana, Tielemans; McGinn, Rogers, Ramsey; Watkins
Bournemouth: Arrizabalaga; Araujo, Zabarnyi, Senesi, Kerkez; Scott, Cook; Ouattara, Tavernier, Semenyo; Evanilson
Brentford vs. Ipswich Town
Gtech Community Stadium, 1:00 AM, Sunday, October 27
Brentford have been one of the most talked about teams in the Premier League recently. The Bees have made a habit of scoring early, making them must-watch TV. Besides that though, Brentford haven’t been great. At home though, Brentford are a much better team and we expect them to do well against Ipswich Town.
Brentford have won four of their five games at home this season. This includes a dominant 5-3 win over Wolves. Ipswich, meanwhile, are very poor on the road. They have yet to win a game away from Portman Road. The Tractor Boys even lost to fourth-tier side Wimbledon away from home.
Beyond their form at home, Brentford are just a much better side than Ipswich Town. This should be an easy win for the Bees. 3-1 is our pick here.
Predicted Lineups
Brentford: Flekken; van den Berg, Collins, Pinnock, Ajer; Norgaard, Janelt; Damsgaard, Mbeumo, Lewis-Potter; Schade
Ipswich: Muric; O’Shea, Burgess, Davis; Morsy, Phillips; Burns, Hutchinson, Clarke; Delap
Brighton & Hove Albion vs. Wolverhampton Wanderers
American Express Stadium, 1:00 AM, Sunday, October 27
Brighton followed up their thrilling comeback win over Tottenham before the international break with a smash-and-grab 1-0 win at Newcastle.
Gary O’Neil’s Wolves suffered a 2-1 loss to Man City on Sunday after John Stones scored a 95th-minute winner for the Sky Blues. To be very harsh, 2-1 was a fair result in that match. Pep Guardiola’s side dominated Wolves. Brighton should be able to do the same.
Wolves have not beaten Brighton in the Premier League since 2021. The Seagulls have outscored Wolves 9-2 in their last three EPL meetings at the Amex.
This Wolves team is worse than any of the one’s Brighton have beaten since 2021. O’Neil’s men are on a six game losing streak and have conceded in each of their last seven. However, Wolves have scored goals too. We’re willing to bet they score here, but we can’t see them winning.
Our EPL predictions have this ending 2-1 to Brighton.
Predicted Lineups
Brighton: Verbruggen; Veltman, Van Hecke, Dunk, Estupinan; Baleba, Hinshelwood; Rutter, Ayari, Mitoma; Ferguson
Wolves: Sa; Bueno, Dawson, Toti; Semedo, Gomes, Andre, Lemina, Ait-Nouri; Strand Larsen, Cunha
Manchester City vs. Southampton
Etihad Stadium, 1:00 AM, Sunday, October 27
Manchester City’s struggles without Rodri continued in Matchweek 8. The Sky Blues needed a controversial 95th-minute winner by John Stones to get past Wolves. Southampton’s own struggles also continued. The Saints blew a 2-0 lead to Leicester City, and are still winless this season.
The EPL betting sites have this match as the most lopsided of Matchweek 9. It will likely end up being the most lopsided of the entire season. As much as we would like to go against the conventional wisdom here, we have to agree with the soccer betting market here.
Man City, even without Kevin De Bruyne and Rodri, are still one of the best teams in the world. Southampton are one of the worst teams in recent EPL history.
We’re not going to overthink things. Our pick is a huge victory for City. Unlike Wolves, Southampton have struggled to score this season, so we also think Man City will shut them out.

Predicted Lineups
Man City: Ederson; Lewis, Stones, Dias, Gvardiol; Kovacic, Gundogan; Savio, Silva, Goku; Haaland
Southampton: Ramsdale; Sugawara, Harwood-Bellis, Bednarek, Walker-Peters; Downes, Onuachu; Dibling, Fernandes, Aribo; Archer
Everton vs. Fulham
Goodison Park, 3:30 AM, Sunday, October 27
Everton have put their dreadful start to the season behind them and now look like a comfortably mid-table side. The Toffees beat Ipswich town 2-0, bringing their unbeaten streak to five. Fulham, meanwhile, are on a downward slide, after losing to Man City and Aston Villa in back-to-back matchweeks.
Beyond recent form, there’s not much to separate these sides. Fulham probably have more talent, but are inconsistent at home. Everton are notoriously difficult to beat at Goodison Park. However, Fulham actually have a great record away to Everton. The Cottagers have won four straight matches at Goodison.
Because Everton are in such good form, we can’t see them losing to Fulham at home again. Unfortunately for Toffee’s fans, we can’t see them winning either. Our prediction here is a 1-1 draw.

Everton Goals Range - Between 1 & 2 Inclusive | $1.58
Double Chance 1 - Everton WIN or DRAW | $1.50
Both Teams To Score - YES | $1.70 |
Predicted Lineups
Everton: Pickford; Young, Tarkowski, Keane, Mykolenko; Doucoure, Gueye; Harrison, McNeil, Ndiaye; Calvert-Lewin
Fulham: Leno; Tete, Diop, Bassey, Robinson; Pereira, Berge; Traore, Smith Rowe, Iwobi; Jimenez
Chelsea vs. Newcastle United
Stamford Bridge, 1:00 AM, Monday, October 28
Chelsea’s seven-game unbeaten streak came to an end last week with a deserved 2-1 loss to Liverpool at Anfield. The result showed that there is still a big gap between themselves and the truly top teams in the EPL. Newcastle are in a similar place right now.
Eddie Howe’s side suffered a 1-0 loss to Brighton last week. Unlike Chelsea in their loss, the Magpies really deserved to get at least one point from this match. They outshot the Seagulls and dominated possession for most of the match.
The match was the fourth straight for Newcastle with less than 2.5 goals. On the other hand, five of Chelsea’s last six matches have had more than 2.5 goals. Given how many chances Newcastle had against Brighton, we think this will break their recent trend and keep Chelsea’s going.
This should be an exciting match with lots of goals. Chelsea have not lost at home yet this season, so we’re backing them to win on Sunday too.
Predicted Lineups
Chelsea: Sanchez; James, Tosin, Colwill, Cucurella; Caicedo, Fernandez; Madueke, Palmer, Sancho; Jackson
Newcastle: Pope; Livramento, Schar, Burn, Hall; Tonali, Guimaraes, Joelinton; Barnes, Isak, Gordon
Crystal Palace vs. Tottenham Hotspur
Selhurst Park, 1:00 AM, Monday, October 28
Tottenham followed up their terrible 3-2 loss to Brighton before the international break with an impressive 4-1 win over West Ham. The Hammers took an early lead, but after that, Ange Postecoglou’s team were in full control. We’ve seen Spurs collapse before, but it’s hard to see this team losing to Crystal Palace.
The Eagles still haven’t won a game this Premier League season. They haven’t looked as terrible as Wolves and Southampton –the other clubs in the relegation zone– but it’s clear that something is not clicking with Oliver Glasner’s side.
Until Palace show us that they can score consistently, we have to bet against them. This should be a straightforward win for Tottenham.
Predicted Lineups
Palace: Henderson; Chalobah, Lacroix, Guehi; Munoz, Hughes, Lerma, Mitchell; Eze, Nketiah, Kamada
Tottenham: Vicario; Porro, Romero, van de Ven, Udogie; Kulusevski, Bissouma, Maddison; Johnson, Solanke, Son
West Ham vs. Manchester United
London Stadium, 1:00 AM, Monday, October 28
West Ham continued their horrid start to the season with a 4-1 loss to Tottenham last weekend. Manchester United survived an early scare from Brentford and came out 2-1 winners at home.
To be honest, we’re not confident backing either of these teams. Manchester United are one of the most up-and-down teams in Europe right now and West Ham are lacking anything that looks like a tactical identity. With all that being said, our pick here is a draw.
West Ham will be more rested than Man Utd, who have to play Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahce midweek. The Hammers also will have home field advantage. Those things could make up for Mohammed Kudus’ absence, as he was red carded in West Ham’s loss to Tottenham.
As for the score, we think there will be lots of goals here. Neither team is solid defensively, so this should be a sloppy game with lots of chances for both sides.
Bookmaker | Tip | Odds |
West Ham Goals Range - Between 1 & 2 Inclusive | $1.58
OVER 2.5 Goals | $1.52 | |
Draw No Bet - Man Utd | $1.72 |
Predicted Lineups
West Ham: Areola; Wan-Bissaka, Todibo, Kilman, Emerson; Rodriguez, Alvarez; Bowen, Soucek, Paqueta; Antonio
Man Utd: Onana; Mazraoui, de Ligt, Evans, Dalot; Eriksen, Casimiro; Rashford, Fernandes, Garnacho; Hojlund
Arsenal vs. Liverpool
Emirates Stadium, 3:30 AM, Monday, October 28
Liverpool managed to maintain their place at the top of the Premier League table with a 2-1 win over Chelsea. Arsenal’s title hopes, meanwhile, suffered a massive blow with a 2-0 loss to Bournemouth. To make matters worse for the Gunners, William Saliba was sent off against the Cherries, meaning he will miss the Liverpool match.
Even with Saliba, Martin Odegaard, and the other injured Arsenal players, beating Liverpool would be tough. Without them, Arne Slot’s side are favourites here. The EPL betting odds don’t see it that way though. The Gunners are slight favourites.
This makes some sense, considering Arsenal beat Liverpool at home last season. With Mikel Arteta’s side’s recent struggles though and with how Liverpool look right now, we can’t shake the idea that Liverpool have a chance here.
Arsenal like to slow things down, so we’re expecting a low-scoring event. If Liverpool score early, they could win, but a draw seems on the cards. 1-1 is our pick.
Bookmaker | Tip | Odds |
Liverpool To Win Either Half - YES | $2.02
Double Chance 2 - Liverpool WIN or DRAW | $1.68
UNDER 2.5 Goals | $1.98 |
Predicted Lineups
Arsenal: Raya; White, Gabriel, Calafiori, Timber; Partey, Rice; Sterling, Merino, Trossard; Havertz
Liverpool: Kelleher; Alexander-Arnold, Konate, van Dijk, Robertson; Gravenberch, Mac Allister; Salah, Szoboszlai, Gakpo; Jota
