Euro 2024: Free Tips & Today's Best Bets | 5 July 2024

Goodbye, Round of 16. It’s time for the UEFA Euro 2024 quarter-finals. On July 5 (July 6 AEST), we have arguably the four top Euro 2024 contenders all going at it. Spain takes on Germany, while Portugal faces off against Spain.

Spain and Germany have been the two best teams at Euro 2024. In a more fair world, they probably should be playing in the final and not the quarter final.  

Unlike England and France, the two Euro betting sites favourites, Spain and Germany have shown a lot of attacking quality. La Roja are averaging 2.25 goals per game. Die Mannschaft, meanwhile, have averaged 2.5 goals per match.  
While they’ve scored lots, neither have been super solid defensively. The soccer betting market disagrees with us, but we think there will be lots of goals here.

As we explained in the first of our Euro 2024 predictions, we are expecting goals in Spain vs. Germany. Both teams are too talented and in good of form for us to predict either to go goalless on Friday.  

Whether it is Lamine Yamal, Nico Williams, or Alvaro Morata, we are confident Spain will score.  

For Germany, Jamal Musiala has scored in three of Die Mannschaft’s four Euro 2024 matches so far. Either him, Kai Havertz, or Niclas Füllkrug are sure to get a goal.

Compared to the free-scoring Spain and Germany, Portugal and France have been parking the bus at Euro 2024 so far.  

Les Bleus have scored just three goals in four matches and Ronaldo’s Portugal continue to look like they do not have a chance. We’ve seen some Euro 2024 predictions saying they both will turn it around in the quarterfinals. We don’t think so.  

Four of the last five matches between Portugal and France have ended 1-0 or 0-0. The other match in that time period ended 2-2.  

These are two very similar teams who can’t score right now. Our Euro 2024 predictions have this match ending as a draw after 90 minutes.
