Best Multibet Tips of the Weekend | April 6th

Morphettville race on the newer Parks course on Saturday where we have three picks to make up our weekend multibet.

There are some smaller fields at Morphettville Parks on Saturday which hopefully will mean that there will not be any hard luck stories in the races and the best horses salute. We landed our multibet last Saturday afternoon and hopefully, we can hit the horse racing bookmakers with another one.

Morphettville R1 #5 - Crimson Vine $2.00

Only saluted in one of her first 11 starts but she arrives looking for a hat trick with her first two both coming on the main track at Morphettville. They came over 2000m and 2500m, splitting the difference on Saturday in a 2250m contest. She boasts a great attitude, digging in deep to win last time and although she stayed the 2500m, this slight step back should suit her. That was a BM76 contest, in the same grade again here and that should help her pick up another win.

Morphettville R2 #1 - A Samurai Mind $2.10

Went into many a black book on his racecourse debut at Murray Bridge, having to weave a path through from the back of the field to get his head in front close to the line. The step up in trip helped him on his second start when he was tried at Listed level, far from disgraced in fourth that day, only beaten 1.7 lengths. Back in calmer waters of a BM72 on Saturday and that should be enough to see him pick up his second win in just his third career start.

Morphettville R5 #1 - Karavas $2.45

Filly was 2/2 in the spring, given a break ahead of an autumn campaign. She stepped up on a maiden win at Murray Bridge to land a Flemington Group 3 on her second start. Runner-up to her in that Group 3 was Eneeza who was seventh in the Golden Slipper, the third is a dual winner since while the fifth was Hayasugi who saluted in the Group 1 Blue Diamond. That is a very strong level of form for her to bring to this Morphettville Listed contest and after a break to give her a chance to strengthen up, she should take this on the way to better things.

Stats and Insights

  • Morphettville Parks is 2100m around with a straight of 320m
  • Jake Toeroek leads all jockeys with Morphettville winners in the last 12 months. He rides A Samurai Mind and Karavas.
  • The inside barriers have a small advantage but it is only a slight one.
  • Matthew Seyers and Jaker Opperman have a 23% strike rate when they team up this season as they do with Crimson Vine.

It is not often that we head to Morphettville so it will be good to make a visit on Saturday with our multibet. There are some solid-looking favourites on the card so we are hoping that the decision to look to Adelaide for winners this weekend is a winning one!
