He saluted there by four lengths, an excellent margin of victory for a 1200m race. The visual impression that he made there was that of a runner still very much on the up. It was an impression that was backed up by the time that he clocked and he might yet have a little more improvement in the tank. 

The three-year-old is set by far the stiffest task of her short career so far but she looks set to take the rise in class in her stride. She has only had four starts, finishing runner-up in her first two and winning her most recent pair. Both of those wins have come on softer ground than she will face here but the step up to 1200m for the first time could see further improvement from her as she has been slow out and running on well in her races. Could be a potential star in the making.
