Best Multibet Tips of the Weekend| October 7th

Some classy types are on show at Rosehill on Saturday afternoon, and it looks like a card where the cream will rise to the top.

The quality Saturday cards production line at Rosehill continues this week with another string of excellent contests. While nothing is above Group 2 status on the 10-race card, the talent is on show for all to see, and we have three that stand out above the rest.

Rosehill R5 #3 - Ozzmosis $2.40

This progressive sprinter has yet to taste defeat in three career starts. Despite the lack of miles on the clock, connections were talking about an Everest slot for him, so there is a huge reputation at home. Things did not entirely fall his way when he won the Listed Heritage Stakes over 1100m here on his last start, so that effort can be marked up. He overcame a slow start that day but kept powering on to suggest his first try at 1200m wouldn’t be any problem for him.

Rosehill R6 #1 - Encap $1.95

He has improved for the step up to 1400m, following up his win in the Group 3 Ming Dynasty with a huge second in the Golden Rose. That level of Group 1 form stands out like a beacon against this field, so it is no surprise that he is a short price. He has taken well to this racing at this track, looking stronger with every run. He ought to give these a fair old licking at these weights as long as there is enough pace up front for him to run at.

Rosehill R9 #5 - Magic Time $3.60

This mares Group 3 looks like it could be a tasty contest. She has met the favourite Parisal on one prior occasion, beating her on a heavy 9 surface in April. Conditions will not be that deep here, but she has fared far better in the barrier draw than her old rival, and that mare is 3/3 over shorter but only 1/4 over this trip. Magic Time should be able to track the pace around and come home too strongly for the rest.

Stats and Insights

  • More than 400m from the home bend to the line makes this a fair track.
  • A short run to the first bend over most trips sees lower-drawn horses generally better supported than those drawn high.
  • Joseph Pride boasts an ROI of 63 at this track over the last 12 months. He runs Ozzmosis on Saturday afternoon.
  • Nash Rawiller has seven wins in 20 rides at the track this season, a strike rate of 35%. He also has five 2nds and two 3rds, so 70% of his starts have finished in the first three past the post. He has the mount on our final selection, Magic Time.

There is nothing like a Saturday afternoon doing battle with the horse racing bookmakers. A multibet is a great way to get the juices flowing with excitement mounting if the winners begin to add up. Hopefully, we can get one over on the old enemy at Rosehill this weekend.
