Best Multibet Tips of the Weekend| December 9th

Eagle Farm looks like being on the warm side on Saturday with good ground, the order of the day for our multibet.

There are some smart races at Eagle Farm on Saturday, including four Listed races and some exciting handicaps to unpick. We have three favourites with the best prices from the horse racing bookmakers, courtesy of bet365 this weekend.

Eagle Farm R1 #4 - Kureder $1.90

He only managed to get his head in front once in his first eight starts, but the lightbulb has well and truly gone on this preparation, saluting in three of his last four. He has turned into an adaptable type with wins over a variety of different trips from 1650m up to 2400m and on ground from Good 3 to Soft 6, so he won’t mind this quicker surface than his last couple of wins have come on, and there may yet still be a slight improvement in the tank.

Eagle Farm R5 #3 - Weigall Tiger $2.40

Although this is not a high-grade handicap, there are enough lightly-raced types here to think it will be an excellent race to add a few to the black book in time. The pick of those is the selection who has been improving at a serious rate of knots. Last time, he stepped out of country class at this track when absolutely running riot by more than 4.5l. That was his first try over this 1400m distance, and it suited him - he looks hard to beat again.

Eagle Farm R7 #3 - Better Get Set $3.20

Winner of this race last year, she made a brilliant return to action at Doomben. That was her first run since August, and it came on the ground that was probably a little softer than ideal. The return to good ground will be a big plus, and she can strip a little fitter now that she has that run under her belt. She is 5/15 when the ground has been good and only 1/12 when soft or worse, so if she has run that well on the first start of this prep, we expect her to make a serious improvement on that here.

Stats and Insights

  • Eagle Farm is more than 2000m around with a 430+m straight
  • Low barriers have a serious advantage over shorter distances
  • James Orman has a 24% strike rate at the track this season - he has the ride on Kureder in Race 1
  • Kelly Schweida has a +23 ROI at this track so far this season - he is responsible for Weigall Tiger in the second leg of our multitip

It has been a couple of months since we were last at Eagle Farm for our Saturday multitip, but we return hoping to land some winners on Saturday. These three selections are all strong prices on the betting sites so we are hopeful of a good showing from them.
