He was beaten in his only other try at Group 1 level but that was in the Doncaster which was run on a Heavy 9 surface which would not have been to his liking. Behind the re-opposing Pericles that day, if the ground stays close to good, then Ciaron Maher’s horse is going to reverse that form. He was a massive improver last season, going through the ranks with ease. After only 10 starts, there should be better to come from him.
