Best Multibet Tips of the Weekend | July 13th

There look to be some strong favourites on the Randwick card on Saturday afternoon. We have combined three of the best to form a $525.00 multibet with selections spread across the 10-race card. Let’s see if we can beat the horse racing bookmakers this weekend.

Randwick R3 #1 - Cranky Harry $2.10

Very well treated by the conditions of this race, comfortably the top rated in here with level weights. Only one of his rivals is rated north of 70 with his own rating of 78 leaving him well clear, even if the ground might not be quite ideal for him. Not for the first time this prep, he has looked as if this new trip of 1600m is well worth exploring with him and he would not need to be at his best to salute here.

Randwick R5 #2 - Don Diego De Vega $2.50

Off for a year since finishing fifth in a Group 3 in France, shaping really well on his Australian debut at Rosehill at the end of June. He relishes deep ground and clearly this trip is fine for him with form over a touch further in France but they go slow and sprint in their contests so it is not such a test at a trip as it would be elsewhere. Has only had six runs in his life so there should be much better still to come from him now that he has had a run.

Randwick R9 #9 - Bear On The Loose $2.00

Hopefully, his most recent form will be boosted by the second leg who was runner-up to him at Rosehill. That made it four wins from his first six career starts and the perfect start to his time here after arriving from the UK. He coped well with soft ground over there, winning at both Chester and Epsom so he is clearly a well-balanced sort. Was heavily backed ahead of his Australian debut and cashed in, paying back some of his 280,000 guineas price tag.

Stats and Insights

  • Randwick is a great test of a horse, more than 2200m around with an uphill straight of a little over 400m.
  • Nash Rawiller has an ROI of +28 at this track in the last year, he is booked for both Cranky Harry and Bear On The Loose.
  • Inside barriers are preferred as they are at most tracks but the bias is not so big that it makes winning from wider impossible.
  • No hoop has more winners at Randwick in the last year than Jason Collett. He rides Don Diego De Vega.

While we are waiting for the top-quality action to come back in the new season, there is still some fascinating action this weekend on heavy ground. Two of our picks in the multibet are recent European arrivals who should be capable of ranking higher than they currently are.
