Best Multibet Tips of the Weekend | September 14th

Three favourites with the horse racing bookmakers from Rosehill this Saturday for our multibet. All of them have got some strong form in the book already but also, all three of those are more than capable of doing better still.

Rosehill R2 #1 - Intervarsity $2.70

Has saluted in three of her five career starts, she was a smart winner at this level two races back. She went well for a long way in a Listed contest last time out and should appreciate being back into easier company again. She is probably going to be capable of being a black-type-level performer in the future. Until then, there are going to be some decent races to be won with her against this level of opposition and, she should be able to do so here.

Rosehill R6 #3 - Joliestar $1.80

The winner of her last three starts but those have been spread across almost 10 months. She was hugely impressive on her first start of the season at Randwick in a Group 2 contest. There was plenty of interest on the betting sites for the Everest after that win and is in mares only company here. She really ought to be far too good for her own sex at this level and after just seven career races, she is going to have some stronger runs still to come.

Rosehill R8 #2 - Storm Boy $2.10

One of the smartest two-year-old runners in the country last season and returned with an excellent win in a Group 3 race over 1100m at this track. He is back out to 1200m here which is going to be a plus for him. His wins over this trip last season made it look like he was going to want a bit further. Has plenty of size and scope about him so there should still be some further progression to come from him as he continues to mature.

Stats and Insights

  • Rosehill is almost square in shape and is more than 2,000m around with a run-in of over 400m.
  • Kerrin McEvoy has an ROI of +20 at Rosehill so far this season. He gets the ride on Jolistar, the middle leg of our multibet.
  • The inside barriers tend to have an advantage over most distance at the track given the shape of the course. This is most notable over 1100m and 1200m starting on a chute.
  • Only Chris Waller has had more winners in the last 12 months at Rosehill than the Waterhouse and Bott combo who run Storm Boy.

Our three multibet tips are all unexposed types. They have had just 19 starts between them combined so they should all have some stronger runs to come. All of them have looked deeply progressive types and can all step up on the form in the book that they have shown.
