Best Multibet Tips of the Weekend | June 15th

We are taking on the horse racing bookmakers at Rosehill this week with our Saturday multibet with a couple of very progressive types in there. It is a tidy card with a Listed contest where we have one of our selections as the feature race of the day.

Rosehill R3 #2 - Know Thyself $3.20

Only had three runs so far in his career, making his debut in February. He won his first two races and was a touch unlucky not to remain unbeaten when second at Canterbury on his most recent start. The step back up in distance to 1400m looks a big positive for him on that visual evidence and he is still a blank page so there should still be plenty more to come from him as he matures. This is a slightly better race but he looks the type to improve straight past them.

Rosehill R7 #2 - Passeggiata $3.20

Has been a consistent mare in her eight career starts so far, winning three and being runner-up in three more. She is a very quick mare who goes on all ground, a winner on her only other visit to this track and distance with that way back in January 2023. She has been second in a pair of slightly stronger contests than this so far this prep, so this looks a winnable opportunity for her to blitz the field from the front with conditions fine. A soft lead would make her very hard to beat.

Rosehill R8 #2 - Hopeful $3.20

his is a quick backup for both of the top two in the betting who both contested the Listed Mayors Cup at Randwick last Saturday. The selection was runner-up that day, well in front of Sir Lucan and he can do so again. That was over 2000m, up to 2400m here but that is no concern with winning form over this trip in the past. Soft ground is ideal for him so there are plenty of ticks in the right boxes for him to get his head in front.

Stats and Insights

  • Rosehill is a little over 2000m around with a home straight of just over 400m.
  • When the Paul Messara and Leah Gavranich stable team up with Aaron Bullock this season they are 22/53, a 41% strike rate. They combine again with Know Thyself.
  • Inside barriers are of a particular advantage over 1100m and 1200m.
  • Bjorn Baker has an ROI of +11 at Rosehill in the last year. He runs Passeggiata in the second leg of the multibet.

Rosehill is always an interesting puzzle but with a long straight, it is generally a fair enough track. The betting sites are always busy when racing is on at the Sydney track and we look to land some winners there on Saturday.
