Best Multibet Tips of the Weekend| November 18th

We head to Sunshine Coast for our Saturday multibet, the three selections on the card combining for 23.52.

There are some interesting handicaps at Sunshine Coast on Saturday afternoon. We have three selections for the card, all of whom have looked progressive so far in their careers, and we hope that they can get one over on the horse racing bookmakers at the weekend.

Sunshine Coast R2 #5 - Rising Pacific $2.40

Has come of age this prep, arriving in pursuit of a four-timer. Good ground over this 1600m trip appears to be his perfect conditions, so he should be right at home, with his recent three wins all coming at different tracks. This is another one again, but he clearly enjoys having a switch around, and this will only be the 11th race of his life. Damien Thornton is 2/2 on him and seems adaptable in terms of the position he takes in a race, which is always a plus.

Sunshine Coast R4 #4 - Helluva Barty $2.80

Found Listed company beyond him in his final start of the last prep. He bounced back first up in a BM68 at Doomben at the end of October, winning with plenty in hand. This is a slight step up in class to a BM70, but he has won three of his seven starts, showing a general trend of improvement in the process. He is only a four-year-old, so there should be more to come from him, which can help him overcome a slightly tricky draw.

Sunshine Coast R6 #12 - Freedom Rally $3.50

The winner of four of his six starts so far, perhaps he was feeling the effects of a fourth quick run when a little disappointing at Rosehill in August. He has been given time off to freshen up since, which should have helped him. Every chance that there is more to come back at a slightly lesser track to start off this prep, with very few miles on the clock, he should be capable of taking his level of form to a new level.

Stats and Insights

  • The track is almost 2000m round with a run-in of 400m, which makes it a very fair track.
  • James Orman has had 279 rides at the track in the last 12 months, 50% having finished in the first three. He rides our final leg, Freedom Rally.
  • There is a low barrier bias in sprint races.
  • Tony Gollan is second in the trainer standing at the track in the last 12 months. Both Rising Pacific and Freedom Rally represent him.

While handicaps make things a little more difficult when it comes to landing a multibet, the three runners we have picked out are all progressive types with further improvement to come from them, making them all very interesting types.
