Best Multibet Tips of the Weekend| January 20th

Our Saturday multi-tip is at Rosehill this weekend, with three selections combining for a potential payout of up to $517.65.

Three tips from Rosehill this week make up our multibet. The first is a little bit shorter than we would generally like to be tipping at, but it looks hard to see past him, so hopefully, he can get the day off to a winning start, and we can get the horse racing bookmakers worried from there.

Rosehill R4 #4 - Time To Boogie $1.45

Two starts this prep have both come at Randwick, winning over 1000m before finishing third from a wide barrier over this distance of 1200m. That was a slightly better-quality race than this one, especially with a couple of scratches on Saturday. He enjoys good ground, so he could do with the conditions drying out a little bit, but he has looked like a progressive type who can continue to improve for a little bit more yet, and that starts with success in this Benchmark 84.

Rosehill R7 #5 - Danaustar $3.40

The winner of seven of his 22 career starts, he has the perfect barrier here in two to attack early, which is very much his way of running. He can dictate this early on the rails with his main rival for the lead drawn widest in barrier nine. He will not mind a little bit of juice remaining in the ground, as he showed when winning two starts back at Kembla Grange. His most recent run saw him split a solid pair for the level at Randwick, a repeat of which should be good enough.

Rosehill R9 #6 - Our Kobison $2.10

A winner in three of his six career starts so far, he has shown a lot of natural speed in those. Last time, he was trapped wide at Randwick, which was no help to him, an issue he will not have here with the inside barrier to work from. James McDonald won the only time he has ridden him, and after so few starts, there should be a lot more to come from this four-year-old gelding as he matures. He ought to be very hard to beat here.

Stats and Insights

  • Rosehill is a little over 2,000m around, with a run of a little over 400m from the home bend to the winning line.
  • There is an inside barrier bias at Rosehill with a relatively short run to the bend over most trips.
  • When James McDonald teams up with Angela Davies, they have five winners and a second from seven runners. They combine with Our Kobison.
  • Tommy Berry needs two more Rosehill winners for 200 in his career - he rides Time To Boogie.

It is not the strongest card at Rosehill in terms of quality on Saturday, but there are a couple of progressive types in our multi-tip this weekend, which could be running in a stronger level of company at some point in the autumn.
