Best Multibet Tips of the Weekend | July 20th

This weekend we are heading to Sydney and Rosehill Gardens as we take on the horse racing bookmakers with our multibet selections. The ground is on the soft side but there are some interesting favourites on the card who should handle conditions.

Rosehill R1 #2 - Mawjood $2.50

Off the mark at the second time of asking. That was at Warwick Farm on a Heavy 9 surface so he has no issue with soft ground. It is unlikely to be as deep as that this week but he is going to appreciate the step up to 1200m which is a big plus. He was well on top over 1100m in his win, arguably winning with more in hand than the bare margin of just over a length. After only those two starts, he should still have plenty of progression in the tank and looks the one to beat.

Rosehill R4 #1 - Pure Alpha $2.90

Ran a huge race in a stronger contest than this at Randwick last time out. He was trapped out wide from barrier 10 on that occasion which was far from ideal but it was still an excellent run. Is yet to finish outside the front two in his five career starts and the extra 100m should not be a problem with another run behind him. Has a middle draw here and with this being a BM70 against a BM78 last time, he should be more than capable of taking advantage.

Rosehill R6 #9 - In Flight $2.40

Filly has looked like an excellent recruit in recent times. She arrives off the back of three consecutive wins, improving with each of the starts. There are no issues with the ground, showing her form on any surface and speed is very much her main weapon. The first two of her hat-trick successes both came over this track and distance so she will have no issues back at this track. Joe Pride is a master when it comes to sprinters and there should still be a touch.

Stats and Insights

  • Rosehill is a little over 2,000m around with sweeping turns. There is a home straight of more than 400m.
  • Chris Waller has more than double the number of winners of any other trainer at Rosehill this season. He looks to add to that with Pure Alpha.
  • Inside barriers have an advantage over most trips but especially 1100-1300m distances.
  • Zac Lloyd has ridden more of the Hawkes winners this season than any other jockey. He gets the mount on Mawjood.

We have three very progressive types to make up our Rosehill multibet this weekend. There should be more to come from each of them and the betting sites have them all on their radar as the one to beat in their respective races.
