Marcus Rashford to leave Manchester United in January

Marcus Rashford was left out of the squad in Manchester United’s 2-1 win against Manchester City at the Etihad last weekend

News Insights

  • Rashford has made 426 appearances for Man Utd.
  • Man Utd pay Rashford over £325,000 per week.
  • PSG have been linked to Rashford since at least 2021.
  • Ruben Amorim hinted he was disappointed with Rashford’s performances in training.

After losing his place in Ruben Amorim’s Manchester United squad, Marcus Rashford says he is “ready for a new challenge."

The winger said it was “disheartening” to be dropped for last weekend’s Manchester Derby and that he is open to leaving his boyhood team after over a decade in the club’s system.

Given this massive news, many soccer betting sites have started accepting bets about Rashford’s next club. Here are the most likely clubs to sign him according to the betting odds.

PSG lead betting odds list

A familiar name leads the Marcus Rashford next club betting odds list. Most betting sites say Paris Saint-Germain is the Englishman’s most likely next destination.

The consensus odds say the Parisians have $4.50 odds of signing Rashford in January. Given the lack of top English talent in the French Ligue 1 in recent years, this may seem like a bit of a strange shout. It starts to make a lot more sense when you consider Rashford’s salary though.

The 27 year old reportedly earns around £325,000 per week, which PSG could afford. The French club have also been linked to the winger consistently since at least 2021.

Saudi clubs interested

PSG are one of the only clubs in the world who could be willing to take on a player with that high a salary who has underperformed like Rashford has in the last few years. Saudi Arabian clubs also fall into this category.

Rashford’s odds of joining any Saudi Arabian Pro League club during the January transfer window is $7.

Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr or the Steven Gerrard-managed Al-Ettifaq are the most likely clubs to sign Rashford, but it could really be any club if the winger is open to a move to Saudi.

Premier League club linked

After PSG and Saudi clubs, there is a big gap on the betting odds list before the next club, Arsenal.

The Gunners have come under fire recently for their inconsistency up front. Additionally, they have been known to take a flyer on out-of-form wingers in recent years–such as Willian and Raheem Sterling from Chelsea–so Rashford could be possible. It’s not super likely though. Not according to the betting odds at least.

Rashford’s chances of joining the Gunners are just $9.

Conclusion

Other Premier League clubs Chelsea and Tottenham are also high on the betting odds list at $12 and $21, respectively. Barcelona are also strong candidates with $12 odds.
