There will be just four games spread across our Sunday in the NBA. The action kicks off at 9am AEDT when the Spurs host the Jazz in a relatively uninspiring start to the day, before at 11:30am, the unstoppable Cavaliers host the Nets and the Hawks host the Bulls. The day’s action concludes on the west coast when the Clippers host the Raptors, rounding out a day which isn’t exactly filled to the brim with blockbuster matches, but for which there is still plenty of value to be found if you look hard enough. Below, we’ve put together three separate bets which make up our weekend multi.

NBA Tips and Multi bet of the Weekend| November 8-10
Utah Jazz @ San Antonio Spurs
Sunday 10th of November, 9:05am AEDT, Frost Bank Center
The Spurs should show some improvement this season, in no small part to the presumed development of Victor Wembanyama, and the early signs have been decent enough for Gregg Popovich’s chargers. They have been a little up and down, but a 4-5 record nine games into the season is a decent enough start, and with three wins from their last five games – including a defeat of the Timberwolves and a couple of thumping wins over lower teams – they come into this one in some pretty decent form. The Jazz do not. They find themselves at the bottom of the Western Conference with the worst record in the league having won just a solitary game, that coming a couple of games ago against the Bulls. For the most part, however, they have been getting pumped. That win was a lone bright light in what has been a miserable five games for Utah, the other four resulting in losses by at least 17 points each and by an average of 21 points. Included among that was an 18-point defeat at the hands of the Spurs, and in Utah, too. With this one back in San Antonio, the Spurs should be expecting to win relatively comfortably. The line, however, is set at only 6.5 points. That’s too low for the Jazz against virtually any side, and while the Spurs are far from world beaters, they are also not the bottom feeders that they were last season. They should be able to pass this line reasonably comfortably, and for the sake of adding a little bit of value to our multi, we’re going to back them to win it by a double figure margin.
Brooklyn Nets @ Cleveland Cavaliers
Sunday 10th of November, 11:35am AEDT, Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse
The Cavaliers have had a brilliant start to the season, and they don’t appear set to let up any time soon. With the Thunder finally dropping a game to the Nuggets the other day, Cleveland is the only undefeated team left in the league with a 10-0 record, and they enter this game on the back of a dominant performance against the Warriors in which they established a 41-point lead at the half. They have not won every game so comfortably, but they have already beaten plenty of good teams and should be able to add the Nets to their list of victims easily on Sunday. Betting sites have the line for this one at a pretty hefty 12.5, but even that looks too little for the Cavs. The Nets’ mish-mash team has actually been pretty solid this team and very nearly beat the Celtics just yesterday, but this is a really tough spot for them. Both these teams come into this game on the second leg of a back-to-back, but it’s a much tougher second leg for the Nets. They have to travel from Boston to Cleveland overnight, and already have plenty of miles in their legs after that Celtics game went to to overtime. The Cavs, meanwhile, will sleep in their own beds, with their back-to-back taking place entirely in Cleveland, and what’s more their starters got plenty of rest last night given they were not needed in the final quarter. Already they are a far better team than the Nets, but the Cavs also enter this game with a distinct rest advantage. How much of an influence rest really has can vary pretty significantly, but any team on the second leg of a travelling back to back with the first leg going to overtime is going to be up against it, let alone against the team with the best record in the league. This should be a comfortable win for the Cavs, who I’m backing to come out and cruise past the line set by NBA betting sites.
Chicago Bulls @ Atlanta Hawks
Sunday 10th of November, 11:35am AEDT, State Farm Arena
We hit pretty comfortably on the Hawks over yesterday, and why change a winning formula? They have been flying past the overs with alarming regularity, courtesy of a frenetic pace of play, a decent enough offence and a pretty bad defence. The result has been eight of ten games this season in which they have played that have seen at least 236 points scored. The line for this game is set at 239.5, slightly higher than that, but hey, we’ll take it. An 80% strike rate of hitting a number within a couple of the line set by betting agencies is pretty nice, and the Bulls should play their role in it too. They’re coming off a huge 254-point game against the Timberwolves, while two games earlier than that they put up 261 points alongside the Jazz. The Bulls, in fact, are one of just two teams sitting ahead of the Hawks for pace, currently sitting at a league-leading 105.22 possessions per game. Their games have been a little lower scoring than those of the Hawks because, basically, their offence stinks, and their defence is decent enough, but still. There are going to be an inordinate number of possessions in this game, and it will only take a half decent shooting performances from these sides for them to hit the over. 239.5 is a pretty solid number that the bookies have set for them to chase down, but based on how the Hawks in particular have been scoring – and conceding – of late, this game should scoot straight past it.
