NBA Player Props Parlay Finals Game 5 | June 18

NBA Multibet of the Weekend
NBA Tips and Multi bet of the Weekend| June 18

It’s safe to say that our player prop multi for Game 4 was a bit of a flop, though when a team wins by 38 points it invariably means there are going to have been some rogue players stats floating around. As we had hoped, Luka Doncic dominated that game, but not by recording a triple-double as hoped and both he and Kyrie Irving – who we also wanted a big game from – were bench pretty early, as were the Celtics’ starters, with the game well and truly over by the third quarter. Expect a drastically different outcome in Game 5 as the Celtics try to win their 18th championship back in Boston, and hopefully a closer game which yields a lot more minutes from the starters. Below, you can check out our player parlay for the game.

Dallas Mavericks @ Boston Celtics

Dereck Lively II to score 10+ points @ $2.00 | GetSetBet

The Mavericks have a couple of options at center in Daniel Gafford and Dereck Lively II, neither of whom is a superstar (granted Lively is in his rookie year) but each of whom is capable enough. The two of them cannot share minutes on the floor together and there has been some waxing and waning in terms of who gets the most time out there, but while Gafford has been starting it has been Lively who has taken the reigns as the go-to at the five for Jason Kidd in the last couple of games. After playing under 20 minutes in each of the first two games of this series and scoring just two points in each of those, Lively has had back to back double-doubles in Games 3 and 4, putting up 11 points in each of them in an average of 26 minutes. He appears to be dealing with the bright lights of the NBA Finals perfectly well in his first season in the NBA, and has no doubt benefited from the absence of Kristaps Porzingis protecting the rim. With every chance that Porzingis again either misses Game 5 or plays limited minutes, that should again open the door for double figure points for Dereck Lively. He will presumably come off the bench as usual, but with Gafford seemingly falling out of favour – he played just 16 and then 10 minutes in the last two games – there should be plenty of time for Lively to get out on the floor and strut his stuff with 25+ minutes of game time, and at around even money with most NBA betting sites he looks like a good chance to hit double figure points for the third time in as many games.

Dallas Mavericks @ Boston Celtics

Dereck Lively II to record 10+ rebounds @ $2.20 | BlueBet

Sticking with the Dereck Lively II theme here with a bet that is pretty correlated to the one above. This means that for a same game multi the value might dip a little as generally betting sites will factor in whether different legs are complementary and dock the odds a little when they are, but given that there is a good chance that either both or none of these happen, we are more than happy to concede a little value in this case. As mentioned above, Lively has been getting plenty of minutes of late and offering good production from a points perspective, but he has also been hitting the glass in that time. He has picked up 12 and 13 boards in his last two games, which follows on from an extended run of solid rebounding numbers when he gets decent minutes. In fact, in his last nine games, when Lively has played at least 20 minutes he has averaged 11.33 rebounds per game and has picked up at least eight of them in each of those games. In his last two games Lively had 30 and 22 minutes, and it feels likely he will again be around the 25-minute mark in this one, particularly if he scores 10 or more points – which we need him to anyway for this multi to hit. If he gets that, recent history would suggest that he will more than likely get at least ten rebounds and potentially quite a few more, so this is a nice complementary bet to hopefully keep the multi going to leg number three.

Dallas Mavericks @ Boston Celtics

Luka Doncic under 8.5 assists @ $1.70 | PlayUp

If the Mavericks are to get anywhere near forcing a Game 6 in this series, they will need a big night from Luka Doncic. It would take a brave person to bet against him doing that, and that isn’t necessarily what this bet is. Doncic has been very good this series albeit not outstanding, though in the first half of Game 4 he was dominant. But as has been the case for much of this series, that was more from his scoring prowess than his passing. He had 25 points to go with four assists by half-time in that game, and by the time he was benched had a stat line of 29-5-5 in just 33 minutes of game time. Obviously he would likely have ended with more than five assists had he played the entire last quarter, but he still probably would have ended reasonably comfortably under this line of 8.5 assists set by betting agencies. Regardless, the five assists he did have made it three of four this series and four of his last five games in which he has failed to hit nine assists, and on all of those occasions he has failed to get there pretty comfortably. Boston has generally done really well defensively, invariably making it more difficult for both Doncic to find his teammates good looks, and for those players to knock down jump shots given that they are rarely wide open. That has led to him averaging under six assists per game so far this series and even less in his past five games. As he did in Game 4, expect him to come out in this one looking to dominate, but more than likely that will be in the form of heavy scoring rather than putting up high assist numbers. Though there is a bit of juice on this one at just $1.70, it is still well and truly worth it to round out what may be the final player props multi of the season.
