After an exciting first day of the inaugural NBA In-Season Tournament quarterfinals, the action from CEO Adam Silver’s newest brainchild continues with probably the two more enthralling of this round on Wednesday, Australia time. The Bucks host the Knicks to kick things off before the Lakers host the Suns in a talent-filled contest later on, and these are the three best bets we’ve found on the two games of the day.

New York Knicks @ Milwaukee Bucks
Bucks to win outright | $1.48 with GetSetBet
Let’s start things off with a lower odds bet, but one which still looks like decent value at close to $1.50. The Knicks are a good side and will enter this contest on a three game winning streak, but they will really have their work cut out beating the Bucks in Milwaukee – as has every team which has entered Fiserv Forum so far this season. The Bucks have still yet to fully click with their new Lillard-Antetokounmpo led team, but despite that they’re winning a whole lot more than they’re losing, particularly on their home floor. Their record of 14-6 is second to only the Celtics in the Eastern Conference, and importantly has included nine wins in their last 11 games. Adding further to their claims to take out this game, they are 9-1 at home over the course of the season, including wins in their past eight games there. The Knicks certainly won’t go down without a fight which is why I’m a little less keen on the -4.5 line that betting sites have given the Bucks, but the outright win looks like a pretty safe bet.
Phoenix Suns @ Los Angeles Lakers
Lakers to win outright | $1.80 with BlueBet
Like with the first game of the day, Wednesday’s second matchup – an enthralling contest which will include arguably four of the top 12 or 15 players in the world in Anthony Davis, LeBron James, Kevin Durant and Devin Booker – may well be decided by where it is being played. Both the Suns and the Lakers have high hopes for this season, but while not everything has gone to plan for either team, they do each still boast a pretty high ceiling – particularly the Suns given they still have Bradley Beal to come back into the team. But the Lakers, while inconsistent at times through the year, have not suffered from that same curse on their own home court. In their ten games at Crypto.com Arena they’ve lost on just two occasions, once by three points to the Mavericks and another in a disappointing effort against the Kings. That aside they’ve been very tough to beat there, with those wins including a five-point defeat of the Suns in their second game of the year. These two sides have met in Phoenix once this year as well, and the Lakers won that one, too – by three points on that occasion. The Suns are a very dangerous team and will likely get better as the year goes on, but with a raucous home crowd behind them, LeBron and AD should be able to lead the Lakers to victory in a game which NBA betting sites think will be very close.
Phoenix Suns @ Los Angeles Lakers
Anthony Davis to score 30+ points | $2.90 with PlayUp
For all of his undeniable talent – and the fact that he has achieved plenty already in his career – one of the major criticisms of Anthony Davis is his lack of consistency. And over the early parts of this season, it was easy to see why. Dominant outings were regularly followed up by lacklustre performances, but as the season has rolled on he has put in fewer of those off nights. In his past five games, he’s had one 17-point effort, but that aside he has managed at least 27 points in every one of them and over 30 twice. What’s more, one of those in which he failed to score 30, he had 28 points in just 29 minutes against the Pistons in a game in which he wasn’t required for a hefty period of the last quarter. Notwithstanding the uncompetitiveness of the Pistons he would have 30 points in three of his last five games and 27 in another, and will tomorrow come up against a Suns team which is a lot better known for its offence than its defence its defense, particularly on the interior. With good form behind him and a favourable matchup, Davis should be able to play a major role in the Lakers’ quest to take out the inaugural In-Season Tournament, and at close to $3 with major betting agencies this looks like a great value bet.
