The sports biggest stars battle it out today

Alcaraz once again is a big favourite, who will be the man to stop him? We are unsure Zverev is the man for the job, in the women’s draw we look at some interesting pre-match market movement.

A certain match in the women’s draw has drawn some attention in the pre-match markets due to an unfortunate shoulder injury. We find out if there is an edge to be taken in this match. Elsewhere, we assess the big market favourites to sniff out the value.

Vondrousova vs Keys

Women’s Singles, Quarter-Finals
Keys To Win @ 1.75

Vondrousova was spotted in pain after her fourth round win due to a shoulder injury. She has pulled out of the doubles with fellow Czech, Strycova. We are relying on Keys to get the job done and not beat herself up here.

Zheng vs Sabalenka

Women’s Singles, Quarter-Finals
Sabalenka -4.5 Games @ 1.92

Once again we will be siding with the Belarusian powerhouse, her minus line landed comfortably last game. I believe her powerful game will dominate from start to finish in this matchup.

Medvedev vs Rublev

Men’s Singles, Quarter-Finals
Medvedev -4.5 Games @ 1.95

On side with another favourite here, childhood friends take battle in New York for a place in the last four. Rublev has been far from impressive for me, his serve seems vulnerable at times, the strong return game of Medvedev with a solid serve of his own should land the minus games.

Multi Bet of the Weekend

Vondrousova vs Keys

Women’s Singles, Quarter-Finals
Keys 2-0 After 2 Games @ 4.00

Backing Keys to get off to a flyer with her being aware of the shoulder injury to her opponent. Payton Stearns landed this line in Vondrousova’s previous match, despite losing the match in the end.

Sabalenka vs Zheng

Women’s Singles, Quarter-Finals
Sabalenka 2-0 @ 1.77

Same thinking as the last mini write-up, Sabalenka should have far too much force and power for Zheng. I can see her wrapping this match up in under 2 hours comfortably.

Alcaraz vs Zverev

Men’s Singles, Quarter-Finals
Alcaraz -5.5 Games @ 1.77

Our first bet involving Alcaraz, and we agree with the market in thinking Alcaraz will roll the German. Fatigue will certainly play a role, Alcaraz is well-rested ahead of this one, however the German has just played the longest match of the tournament.

Multi Bet of the Weekend

That is our final multibet piece of the tournament, we have included a mix-match of the men’s and women’s matches for the two multibets on offer today. There is certainly some interesting pre-match market movement on the Vondrousova vs Keys clash, this is worth keeping an eye on. Ensure you check the bookmakers settlement rules on retirements - there is a slight chance that the Czech will be forced to retire.
