Multibets of the Week | US Open August 30

Kicking off at 4pm we have some huge names, none bigger than American Coco Gauff who will be looking to go deep in this year’s US Open. 

Today we will be looking to catch some early value in the markets to try and take advantage of the sleeping punters out there who will be focused on the first round!

Gauff vs Andreeva

This looks to be a very low line based on Gauff’s first round. Gauff is rightly favourite, however Andreeva will not die without fighting as we saw at Wimbledon. This should be in with a good chance. 

Bonzi vs Eubanks

Men’s Singles, Round Two
Eubanks -1.5 Sets @ 1.80

Eubanks is the far better player in 2023, his performances in the grass season have shown his true potential. Bonzi should struggle to gain the upper hand in this match as Eubanks’ serve is extremely reliable.

Karatsev vs Carballes-Baena

Carballes-Baena +4.5 Games @ 2.00

This looks to be a generous line in the early releases, the Spainard beat the fourth seed in the previous round. Playing some of his best tennis, I can see Carballes-Baena keeping this game very close throughout. 

Ruud vs Zhang

Zhang To Win @ 4.75

Ruud was not at his best in the first round, however Zhang defied the 3.2 odds he was placed at and beat American JJ Wolf in 5 sets. This should be a huge confidence booster coming into a big match which should be on a big court. 

Paul vs Safiullin

Men’s Singles, Round Two
Paul -1.5 Sets @ 1.63

Paul should have too much for the Russian on his home hard courts. He has looked good in Toronto and Cincinnati, whilst his opponent lost both matches heading into the US Open. 

Swiatek vs Saville

Women’s Singles, Round Two
Swiatek 2-0 After 2 Games @ 1.83

This bet seems to be made for Iga Swiatek, it is so often that she blows opponents away in the first set. She landed this bet in the first round and I see her doing it again, as Saville does not have a big serve to deal with. 

Rybakina vs Tomljanovic

Rybakina -5.5 Games @ 1.83

Rybakina shushed any rumours of her not being at her best due to injury with a thumping first round win against Kostyuk. Tomljanovic has been out of tennis since 2022, and just recorded her first win against World No.122, Panna Udvardy. 

Townsend vs Haddad-Maia

Townsend To Win @ 2.50

Townsend’s hard hitting style of play could blitz the Brazilian after her three-hour contest against Sloane Stephens. We are banking on a bit of fatigue to play a role in this contest.

Thiem vs Shelton

Men’s Singles, Round Two
Straight Sets Winner - No @ 1.36

This looks to be a safe play to round off our final multi of the day, Thiem is the underdog in this match and it was close between his moneyline or this bet to complete our treble. However, I feel that both men will have ups and downs during this match which could go very long. 

A few ‘bankers’ combined with a few outside pops to get some bigger multi odds. If I had to pick a bet of the day it would be the first multi, also the Swiatek bet is definitely worth a poke as a single, also take a look at the 4-0 and 6-0 prices.
