Edition 2 of Wimbledon 2024 Day 1 & 2 Multibets!

A certain British legend is on our radar for part 2 of the Wimbledon 2024 multibets - no prizes for guessing who it is! In addition, we look at Day 2 matches briefly for some of the early value.

Machac vs Murray, Men’s Singles

Machac 3-0 @ 3.00

We cannot see this match going in the favour of Andy Murray, his body looked in all sorts of bother at Queen’s Club and it is unlikely he has managed to get the rest he needed.

Bolt vs Ruud, Men’s Singles

Bolt To Win @ 4.00

It is no secret that Ruud is not fond of the Wimbledon grass and he will be looking ahead to the hard court season Stateside. It is an attractive price for Alex Bolt, who possesses weapons that can hamper Ruud domination.

Struff vs Marozsan, Men’s Singles

Struff -5.5 Games @ 1.91

Struff has massively improved his game in the last 18 months, his huge serve and ability to volley will massively benefit him at Wimbledon. Let’s not forget he took Carlos Alcaraz to 5 sets back in 2022 in the first round!

Multi Bet of the Weekend

Monfils vs Mannarino, Men’s Singles

Over 39.5 Games @ 1.83

Battle between the French in what should be a fantastic match for the spectators. Both players love a long battle and both are suited well to the surface, especially Adrian Mannarino, who tempted us on the ML at 2.75.

Paolini vs Soriibes Tormo, Women’s Singles

Paolini -5.5 Games @ 1.72

Jasmine Paolini has been very impressive after her first Grand Slam final at the French Open. She confidently dispatched Katie Boulter at Eastbourne before falling short in 3 sets to Daria Kasatkina. Sorribes Tormo will struggle to match Paolini in baseline contests.

Hibino vs Mertens, Women’s Singles

Mertens 2-0 @ 1.91

This looks a fantastic price and we would not put you off backing this as a single, perhaps the market is concerned about injury worries but we view the withdrawals as caution ahead of Wimbledon.

Multi Bet of the Weekend

Pliskova vs Schnaider, Women’s Singles

Pliskova To Win @ 2.00

Of course Pliskova is no longer the player that we would expect to reach the quarter-finals at Wimbledon. Her big serve is well-suited and she should cause trouble for Schnaider in at least half of the games in the match. We struggle to agree with the market rating her as underdog here.

Osaka vs Parry, Women’s Singles

Under 21.5 Games @ 1.83

Big contrast in playing styles here with Parry preferring a slower game with plenty of slicing, opposed to Osaka who likes to hit clean through the ball with more unforced errors & winners. Osaka is suited to the Wimbledon courts slightly better and we can see her wrapping the match up without a close set.

Cirstea vs Kartal, Women’s Singles

Kartal To Win @ 2.00

Two players in contrasting form, Kartal has come through qualifiers including a win against 5th seed, Erika Andreeva to secure her place in the draw. Cirstea has lost two out of two games on grass this season - in matches where she would fancy herself to win usually.

Multi Bet of the Weekend

That is all for Day 1 & 2, plenty of angles covered in this piece as we have strong views on certain matches. Notable bet that just missed our selections was Linda Noskova -4.5 Games against Sara Errani. As usual, best of luck with all your bets - we will be back for Day 3 & 4 bets.
